We need to bring in more speed in the back 7.

I’m saying If it can happen for redwine (also mike jackson who had a similar build of Christian Williams coming out of highschool) then it possibly can happen for him too. There’s nothing wrong with suggesting that in fact after last combine 247 sports posted a number dbs who’s 40 times drastically changed after training in a college program. It can happen is all I’m saying
It’s possible? come on man. This thread is about speed. You said williams WILL be a 4.4 guy at miami. You have no basis to think that. And it doesn’t help the discussion about our (lack of) speed. Now you come back with ‘it’s not impossible’?

that play no safeties would catch that kid.. he’s fast af himself plus both safeties were lined up outside the hash marks.. they had no angles
Sean Taylor wouldve heat seeking missile blasted him and his blocker into the 5th row. 😏

Wiggins track times weren't blazing now he's blowing past kids in college..some kids work extremely hard to improve speed and technique while others don't....gotta give Louisville credit for recruiting speedsters and sleepers....even LSU and Bama defenses got scorched last week....it happens sometimes when you play teams with track speed...one mistake it's over.....

Gluten defintely didnt recruit speed. richt wasnt wrong when he diagnosed the lack of speed.

but richt didnt do nearly enough to address it. Nor manny.

randy wasnt a true speed guy either. He liked his dbs big. He took some fst kids but also plenty of kids he just thought were ballers. For every benjamin there was a collier or hankerson or aldarius. For every dvd, a jojo nicholas.

True. It is sad that given what you said about Randy, his was still the last speed we have seen. I remember TB and Miller in Columbus. We were visiting one of our kids working on his PhD at OSU and were at the game. Seeing punt return and KO taken to the house in the big house gave me chills. Sad that was about it for the day. Still, that is the speed we really haven't seen since Dorset made the Irish star dropping back 30 yards and taking the lid off the Noles in the game Duke got hurt -- wasn't he recruited by Randy too?

I want to go back to days when our LBs covered WRs and our Dlinemen ran like today's LBs. Sure we had trouble stopping beef runs sometimes but the speed got everyone there to help and those one play 60 yard TDs just took the heart out of the 3 yards and dust type. Speed made up for our weaknesses and put pressure on other team to try to score more.

I forgot if Bubba Bolden has one more year in school but. Gurvan Hall is the ideal free safety. & idk, I'm going off measurables but, Bolden reminds me of a more fluid/agile Ray Ray Armstrong; imo, Bolden should be the in the box - type safety, & have Hall play the deep ball.

And Bandy has shown he can matchup with it seems like every wr in the acc. & given the fact he's technically undersized for a #1; If he stays he'd probably the best cover for man to man. And you can line him up in the slot too. They need Blades or Ivey to develop more. Hopefully a full season and another training camp will make it like Michael Jackson on the field with Bandy.

Being a NYJ fan, thats what made Revis & Cromartie the bestduo for CBs. Revis had Revis island. & Cromartie I think already was a all-pro with the chargers. After they drafted him in the 1st round rehabbing from a torn knee. But Bandy & Blades and/or Ivey.. That would be more like Janoris Jenkins & Trumaine Johnson when they played for the rams.. For a NFL comparison imo.
