We need to bring in more speed in the back 7.

We need more speed overall, watching the end of the Bama-LSU game showed me what we used to be, we need that speed and violence back, I felt like I was watching the game at 1.5x speed lol
Well stop hitting the fast forward option. They are not that much faster.

SMH how many times we're going to let Louisville cherry pick players like this is beyond me.. All the kid did was win back to back titles in one of the toughest highschool divisions in America being an athlete at QB

Kid was a STAR since he was 9 years old down here. Kids dad player wr at a high level in college and he never was against the wr switch. It was a no brainer at the time and i was screaming for it.

But they got the kid from ATL who hightailed it out of here when he couldnt play early.

not to nit pick but it look like Hall got clip in the back: Tutu is a ball player, I think NW went out west to play some team team from Arizona got shellacked but Tutu really show well, the only one :

When miami is miami you don't see our opponents easily pull away from our cbs and safeties like we saw today.
So true and we need better DC coaching. Many times they put these kids in bad situations and matchups. Lastly, Set the edge!!!!!!!

What CBs are we recruiting seems like we have low level project types committed. Are there any non committed ones we are going after or commits we are trying to flip?

Rule use to be speed everywhere and move speed forward. Speed allows you to be aggreesive and take shots on defense because someone behind you or beside you would catch ball carrier and allow D to line up for another chance. On offensive it was simple, Speed allows for long range bank deposits. TEs then take care of red zone scores. Seems to me the last coach really recruiting speed was Randy. I think even Dorsett was his original recruit. He is the last real speed freak I can think of. Duke had burn but Golden beefed him up an the long ball plays ended. We wil never be Miami without grizzly bears with quick nimble feet at DT and speed everywhere else. The only big oline we had that was really good was the one Butch left.

Gluten defintely didnt recruit speed. richt wasnt wrong when he diagnosed the lack of speed.

but richt didnt do nearly enough to address it. Nor manny.

randy wasnt a true speed guy either. He liked his dbs big. He took some fst kids but also plenty of kids he just thought were ballers. For every benjamin there was a collier or hankerson or aldarius. For every dvd, a jojo nicholas.

Not really, he ran a 4.64 at the Nike combine at 6’1 180 plus. **** redwine dropped his time from 4.77 to a 4.44 after years training at Miami
So your response is to tell me two things that are irrelevant (height, weight) and then one irrelevant anecdote.

how many kids run 4.4s in the combine? What % does that represent? Why do you project him to be in that group? Why does one anecdote about redwine tell us anything abt this kid?

I’m saying If it can happen for redwine (also mike jackson who had a similar build of Christian Williams coming out of highschool) then it possibly can happen for him too. There’s nothing wrong with suggesting that in fact after last combine 247 sports posted a number dbs who’s 40 times drastically changed after training in a college program. It can happen is all I’m saying
