My problem is if you’re gonna be slow at least have elite instincts. At least be physically imposing dudes who bring a punch in the run game and at the catch point. We have too much of guys who are closer to me than they are to a Antrel Rolle or P Buc

Skinny and slow is a tough combo for a DB but I see what you see on the field for us.

I think we took Kam and JW for granted, they weren't perfect sure, but I'd give my left nut to have them rn.

Especially kam people were talking like he was just a regular player it was surprising to see. James had his flaws but i don’t think people noticed his pure football iq and instincts. He set a physical tone

I still think as time goes on harris will get better and powell will be solid. But man the 2nd half of our schedule has much better offenses, better talent and now a year and half of film to form gameplans

Everything cal got last night, was from falling for eye candy and getting out of position mentally, not physically. I don’t think people are emphasizing how big of a hit Brown’s injury is.

I also think people are laying way too much at Brown’s feet. He got playing time as a true freshman because well… anyone with a pulse should in this secondary. He didn’t play all that well though. It’s okay as he was just a true freshman but this idea that he is some sort of standard/penciled in starter is flat out wrong.

We really don’t know what he brings to the table, outside of Nickel/STAR is his best suited position. Now I think it does help overall, as DPJ is certainly not a nickel and has struggled immensely there.

Yes I agree but we have to enjoy this win and the fact the defense only gave up 3 points in the second half. We need to play a full game and not wait until half time to turn it on. IMO the DBs are not communicating well and that can be fixed.

Defense gave up 10 in the 2nd Half. The TD by Cal's running QB and the FG.
