We just lost a game

We ****ed around and found out.

GT's playbook was techmo bowl like. They ran five or six plays over and over and over and we couldn't stop any of them with any consistency. Embarrassing how bad we are at setting an edge.

Cam does hold the ball too long and that cost us today. He was going to have an "off" game at some point whether it was his play, online, or too many drops and we got it today. Didn't love that 4th down play call with pass to Fletcher either.

I’m kind of numb as well. Honestly that feeling in the stomach didn’t happen today, it happened somewhere around the Louisville game when it became abundantly clear the defense would waste the season.

Probably helps that there’s a 12 team playoff and somewhere in me thinks this offense needed a game like this

A lot of leadership on this team and they need to step up
 
Played into key’s game plan from the jump. Eat up the clock and keep it away and they weren’t even hiding it from the first drive. Guidry was yet again an absolute failure. Dawson’s and cam’s worst performances. That 4th down play action was on par with the halfback throw in the snow.

Just got Out cavedman. Guidry is on par if not worse than donofrio and I’d loved to be proved wrong.

If we actually learn from this loss heading to the bye week it will speak volumes on this “culture” we are building. Or we sputter like every other Miami team has the last 20 years.

If this doesn’t wake coaches and players up we’ll lose another 1-2. If I see the same players and scheme on D after the bye I’m done with LG. There needs to be adjustments or simplifying.

I get that part, and I don’t disagree.

But couldn’t it have been a new look? It was a huge spot, wouldn’t be crazy if GT had something dialed up. You can prepare, and you should, but sometimes you don’t like what you have.

Regardless if we were 6-3 or 9-0 this is pathetic. Another loss where we were the better and more talented team that was favored by around 10 points.

I completely agree this is pathetic, but we got crybaby ******* on here mad about 9-1 ready to take us back to 5-7 win seasons.

I would be more surprised with an smu win than anything this season. They might score 40 in the first half and keep their foot on the gas.

Key put on a coaching clinic especially when you’re outmatched by a good margin. The cb’s were obviously told to hold every place and force the refs to call it every play. He played some of the same d as last year , bend but don’t break and choosing your spots to blitz. Let us move the ball in between the 20’s. Keep the ball away running the ball, milking the clock and just stay in the game for four quarters. Get it to the fourth and make a play late.
