Ways to improve the recruiting board

We need a better, more standardized way of transitioning threads after a commit. New thread is created (I understand the reasons/rationale for this), but the old thread isn't linked. It should be standard practice to either:

1. Link to the old thread in the 2nd post or the OP.
2. Supply the 247/Hudl clips etc in the OP if the link to the old thread(s) isn't possible.
3. The last post in the old thread should link to the new thread and then lock the thread.
4. The OP of the old thread should be updated to link to the new thread. I've got to manually relink tons of hyperlinks and this would save me lots of time if bidirectional linking was available for the old/new threads.

This would make the transition more seamless.

Big board thread with top 5 wants/commits at each position with column for any crystal balls and/or percentage of getting. Thread is fluid as guys get taken off board and replaced with new targets

Public hanging for posters that keep a recruiting thread trendy while discussing things nowhere close to being on topic.

For example, a recruit suddenly has a thread near the top with several new posts, making everyone think something big happened, but it turns out someone bumped the thread for one irrelevant update and now everyone is discussing the best all terrain tire for a 3/4 ton truck.

If you're actually using that truck off road and don't care too much about the price tag, it's gotta be BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3s.

Transfers and Recruits should not be separated but the impetus to split the flood of conversation to multiple boards is a good idea.

A split by offense / defense would let you talk about talent acquisition for all available RBs, WRs, & TEs together for instance.

More breaking threads like the RB one you just posted. You’re the most connected insider on the canes message boards. Utilize those talents to break news like that.
