My true feelings were we lose that game for months. It doesnt make me right and feelings come and go anyway, of course I want the canes to win but Im not confident. I will be happy if everyone negs me next week if we win, its not going to matter to me or hurt my lil ole feelings.

I wish there were more posters like you, these boards would be much better if people could be rational and objective. Would make for better discussion. In terms of UF, I for one think we are gonna win but I dread what will follow the win. All of a sudden we will be best team in the nation, who could beat anybody. Morris will be a top 5 pick, etc.....
Now if we lose them the reaction will be something along the lines, that we will be lucky to win 4 games this year, fire Golden, you know.... Anything lacking any sort of reasoning.

I thought it was going to be relatively low scoring from the beginning, but it keeps going down in my head. Our defense is going to keep us in the game and wait for us to pop one on offense or ST's. I don't think we will consistently move the ball on them but I have confidence that between O'Donnell's punting and our D, we can force them into long fields. I just pray our offense can give them a break. We were way too good at going 3 and out in 20 seconds last year.

The funny **** is if we lose next week I wont say fire AG and the world is ending, but the same heads that say Im scared will be the ones on here going ape **** at dorito etc. Watching UFs O gives me hope but its not a gimee the way people thought (well some geek underwear wearing UM speedos head fans) Realistically though SM is the same guy as last year and that scares me against top comp, and the trench war against big boys worry me also. If we can improve those 2 things we can win but SM is SM you cant change a qb unless you change a qb, Gus will be big in this game if they allow him to be, he looks like the 1 guy who can run inside and you have to against the gates to take pressure off SM.
 
As much as I love our Canes reality tells me we aren't in Florida 's league yet. Al Golden complains about how the NCAA is effecting recruiting and we're still missing out on too many true 5 star recruits.
 
Having seen Toledo's RB flash, there's no way the Gators will be able to contain Duke.

Also once again the officials have been awful - Gator wrestles a Rocket to the ground (out of bounds on the Gator sideline), ripping off his helmet in the process. Rocket responds with a frustrated shove. Flag, 15 yard penalty, drive over.

If it wasn't so obvious it'd be funny. SEC gonna SEC.

I think we will come out focused against UF early, and then hopefully hold on. Kinda like FSU last year but we just won't fade in the second half. The first couple series are gonna be very very important and we can't have brain farts, like we had against ND.

They always catch the 2nd guy, I know its a smal thing but how come the gates can have untucked jerseys? I thought they make you tuck it in? I know its a small thing but not sure on the rule or if there is one.
 
I'm still trying to figure out who the non-retarded Miami fans who thought we were going to blowout Florida were/are.

Alot of dudes on here were saying there dbs were overated and we should drop 30 easy, nothing I saw yesterday makes me think we should even try to throw it. If duke gets shut down we in trouble, our D has to play mean and lights out for us to win the game. Its not impossible but Im pretty sure we wont be favored in that game.

Miami is going to be just as much of a "load" to Florida as they are going to be for us so chill w/ the **** slurping and pull yo skirt down.
 
No doubt, if I'm simply basing off what I've seen from both teams to this point Id pick Florida simply because I don't believe the OL asserted themselves the way they can and should. I was also disappointed with the passing game as a whole. For Miami to take the next step the D had to improve, which it's already showing, and the offense had to be the catalyst that controlled the game. This offense has that ability, it just left a lot to be desired last night.

Very physical and methodical team. Tough up front on both sides. This will be a stiff test for Miami in terms of what makes teams good--physicality and lack of mistakes. They will come with that and we will have to match it. We can't make mistakes and have to capitalize on every opportunity. We'll also have to be very good in the red zone defensively. It'll be a good test.

Big difference with me, I know Miami has the ability to win. They just have to prove they are ready to take the next step. Last night didn't show it but then again last night wasn't an end all measuring stick for this team. They have a lot to prove though with a great opportunity to prove it.
