Warren Sapp says Miami wanted ‘20 hours per day’ for same role with Deion Sanders

In same interview he said he lived 90m away from campus. So he laughed about a 3h commute leaving only 1h for sleep.

20h/day is just a "weeding out" metric to not waste time on candidates who aren't bought into the same level of commitment other staff members have. Sapp even mentioning it (and Caneville dude posting about it) just shows who is really bought in on what it takes to win these days. Others are just waiting to pounce on anything that can be construed negative

Regardless, Sapp will be on the sidelines when we play for the next natty

You played college football, but fail to understand that the programs that are winning, are 24 hour per day operations. It worked for Saban, who is a Belichick disciple. Kirby Smart runs his program the same way, it was known that Pete Carroll used to live in his office when he was at Southern Cal. The old quote about Joe Gibbs rings true today "We used to come into the facility, and you could tell that Coach Gibbs had never left, his car still had snow from the previous day on it. You can't be out here ******** around, when you know your coach is sleeping in the office". Now, is that the most mentally balanced way to approach life? Probably not, but it's effective for a ton of staffs, and I believe that Mario finds value in building that kind of culture.

There's nothing wrong with taking time off, but you want dedicated people that are looking for every possible advantage.
I promise u that they didn't win because saban was sitting in his office at 11pm playing snake.
The guys u named won in college by recruiting n buying the best players..simple sh-t.

Alot of y'all been rather quiet and moving goal post on reference to him coaching.

Now it's let's see how it is without Hunter n his son lol. It's hilarious to watch.

27-6 2x swac coach of the year

Colorado went from one win to 4 to 9 in the second year.

What more explaining do you need?.
Keeping it real, Deion’s season last year was fool’s gold like a MF’er. It reminds me of Al Golden’s last year at Temple. I believed the hype on that guy based off of it. CU had (on paper) waaaaaay more talent than the lousy teams they beat to build their mid *** record. Not only did they lose to **** near every team they played with a pulse and winning record, they got their chains snatched and sent back to their car to cry in. I don’t care about CU or Deion at all, I’m pretty much indifferent, but I had to comment on this post. You’re one of the people on this forum that I enjoy and respect most, I just can’t 100% agree on this particular topic. He’s definitely improved, no denying that, but last year was a mirage and that team underachieved.

It's possible to acknowledge that he knows a lot about football. It's also possible to be skeptical that his approach will lead to sustained success.

What bowl games or anything of significance did he win in the SWAC?

Last i checked he was 0-2.
Coach of the year is personal success, that's moot.

Colorado hasn't beat a ranked team or a team with a winning record have they?

You're clearly a fan. I get it. I ain't knocking that. I guess we define success different because he ain't done jack ****, imo. To each their own bredren.

also, no one is working 20 hours a day. that is stupid and not even remotely efficient. you must suck at your job if youre spending that much time in it. its likely sapp is salty he didnt get a call or even a look at the job his ex colleague got and trying to play it off as Mario is insane.

How dumb are you to admit this? Makes you look lazy and makes Deion look like he’s ok with laziness.

What if in the future Mario would’ve been interested? Now you’ve burned that bridge.

Some things are better left unsaid
**** prime not even trying to recruit 🤣
