Warren Sapp says Miami wanted ‘20 hours per day’ for same role with Deion Sanders

How dumb are you to admit this? Makes you look lazy and makes Deion look like he’s ok with laziness.

What if in the future Mario would’ve been interested? Now you’ve burned that bridge.

Some things are better left unsaid

It’s really a disrespect to the coaching profession that these millionaire former nfl greats think they are entitled to bypass the grind just because of their status.

You know how many high school coaches that would kill for an opportunity to be an analyst at UM?

The really funny part is that "a certain person" told Warren this.

Mario didn't tell him that.

"A certain person" did.

I don’t think Sapp would be a good fit in Miami, but we did get Damione Lewis and no one can anrgue with the improvement that Colorado made on the defensive line with mediocre talent.

On the other hand, Our defensive line coaching left much to be desired last season. The Canes recruited at a high level, but very little production last season. Those defensive linemen who transferred out (SMU, UCF, etc) outperformed those defensive linemen who transferred in.

I think we will see big improvements in the defensive line production this season. The new defensive coordinator and Damione Lewis will help develop some of that high level talent that the Canes have recruited over the last 4 years under Cristobal

Some of yall are really skipping over the part that says "he applied for the job" as opposed to "we offered". He wanted to work at Miami, heard a rumor of how much work was needed for the position that he applied to, and decided it wasn't worth it.

Yes.

And if there HAD been an in-person conversation, I'm hopeful that Mario let Warren down easy and convinced Warren that he was doing him a favor by not forcing him to take a 30-hour-per-day job...

"Warren, this job requires 20 hours"
"Per week?!" *a giant ball of chewing tobacco goes flying in disbelief*
"No Warren, per day"
*Sapp shows off his trademark burst as he exits through the office door*

Lol whatever sapp did(not no crazy **** lol) for CIS to hate him i agree with it

Like people saying he’s a terrible human?? Like did he slap your mom or something

I enrolled at UM in 1986. I have met thousands of UM alums over the years (hundreds from athletics), even some guys with notoriously prickly reputations (Rick Barry).

There is only one person who CONSISTENTLY treats everyone he interacts with TERRIBLY.

Warren. Sapp.

I’d say he’s more of a prick than a terrible human being. He didn’t murder a bunch of children or anything horrible. He’s just an *******.

my guess is he never officially got offered.

Deion is hiring a bunch of guys that kids today wont really know outside of the occasional highlights. Nice work.
whatever deion's doing it worked.

I'm sure kids watched Jason taylor play with the dolphins and dancing with the stars.

We just hired a guy from deion's staff that kids today wouldnt know.

Cache is cache we have a recruiter/figure head at hc just like deion except he has a yellow jacket and wayyyyy more cache than Mario, im just happy fsu goofed on not hiring dude.

20 hours isnt even plausible. Entire staff would be walking corpses.
I’m not assuming those are actual numbers. The point is that Mario expects his staff to work long hours especially analysts. Clearly Sapp isn’t interested in that.
