Walton 24 TDs in 24 games

I'd be more than happy with Walton & Homer as the duo for next year...

If Yearby & Gus both come back, then f*ck it, give all 4 of'em carries next year, let McFarland shirt & Burns return kicks.

But, I have no issue with Walton being our starter next year.

Homer is going to blow up if they don't move him to DB. Kid is the real deal with elite speed. I watch him run down on kickoffs and he just blows everyone away. LOL

I straight up LOL at alot of these replies . Walton impresses me more then any back we have had since Mcgahee and that includes Johnson. He just is beast . Runs through people but has that extra gear once he breaks free. Yearby and Gus will make NFL dollars but Walton could be a star in the league. So pumped we have him at least one more year. I do think Yearby might transfer as he is the 3rd back ( and should be ) but is **** good as well. Also we are bringing a few more studs this year so the back field is going to be loaded. Hope Homer stays as he is future star but could be one at DB as well.

hes a beast, fournette against Obama year over year shows you even the best can't do **** when your online is getting molested

His speed and balance has gotten a lot better. He has outrun defenses to the end zone on multiple occasions this year. He probably isn't elite, but just average is a half retarded statement given what he also does in the pass game (200 yards receiving and has kept multiple drives alive with some great YAC). Oh yeah, he also doesn't turn the ball over. Will be the best returning back in the league next year and it won't be close

Give Walton a good OL and he is a one of the best RB's in the country.

Patience is improving. Haven't seem him run straight into the back of his offensive line recently. His vision is definitely still his weakness as he struggles to get positive yardage if the hole doesn't open up right where it's supposed to. Physically, he's our most talented back by a huge distance. He's quick, has some shake and can break arm tackles easily. Not the absolute fastest guy in the world but he can house it if given a lane. I must say, he's improved quite a bit. I really didn't think he was any good last year but he's done a very solid job this year.

Walton is a good RB, but not great. He is not in the same class as Edge, Portis, MacGhee, Gore, and Davenport. Duke Johnson and Lamar Miller were better. James Jackson was better.

He is the best RB on this team, but I am interested in seeing Travis Homer get some carries next season.

He's slightly above average. He's not elite nor is he a good back; he's got subpar vision and frequently misses open running lanes.

He's still our best back though imo

This is just silly man. Frequently missed open lanes? There aren't many open lanes behind this dumpster fire of an OL. He may not be elite yet, but to say he's not good and slightly above average is rough. He's got elite hands and is a major threat out of the backfield and if we knew how to throw to he running backs he would showcase that more often. He's got good burst and although he may not be 4.4 I have yet to see him get run down from behind. Not to mention he eats glass and ***** out nails he's so **** tough. The coaches love him teammates seem to hold him in high regard by all accounts.

Oh and did I mention he runs behind a putrid OL? The OL that has Gall at C McDoormat at T, St. Louis the human turnstile at RT and Gauthier who got released from the witness protection program 2 weeks ago.

Walton is a good back who could very well be one of the better ones this school has produced by the time he graduates.

To be fair RBs have been helping this "putrid OL" in pass protection.

Walton is good.

I think Yearby is better.

But Walton is a lot better than I ever thought he would be.
Yearby is better in open field. As far as running out the backfield and hitting the hole, Walton is ahead of Yearby....

Yearby is gone after this year.
Where's he going?

I'd have more faith in Homer if he had more than zero carries the last 2 months.

I've got to give Walton credit. Pitt and NC St. have been great against the run and Walton had good games against both. I never would have guessed that was possible.

He's still not a homerun threat, but he's had more large chunk plays in the last couple games than he's had in his entire career, which is great to see.

I'll never be a fan of his style - but I can't argue with the results the last couple games. Hope he can continue to consistently do this against good teams.

Kinda hard to tell how good he really is with the lack of holes he has to run through. Seems like some games our OL creates holes and others not so much. With the run blocking we have at times only RB I can think of that could be successful on a regular basis is Mr. Barry Sanders.
