Before last week, Miami had played 8 FBS schools. They were 6-2 against the spread. Meaning, they OVERPERFORMED in 6 of the 8 games. Why does everyone all of a sudden think this team is incapable of beating anyone?

We’re averaging 43.8 points against FBS schools. Scoring 50 is a **** of a lot more likely than scoring 23. Wanna know why? We’ve scored 50 four times. We’ve scored 23 once.

Good god some of you are dense.

The 50 point comment was not made to illustrate that we don't hang 50 on people. It's to illustrate the asinine theory that because we can hang 50 on people, we shouldn't worry about ACC opponents. Glad that worked out against a 5-4 GT team.

If Miami beats Wake and loses to Syracuse, we are 6-2.
If Pitt wins out, they are 6-2.

Our common opponents are Cal, Syracuse and Louisville. In this scenario, we would be 2-1 against those three. Pitt would be 3-0.

what part of winning both escaped you? We don’t need anyone to do anything any longer. All we need to do is win.

I don’t think Guidry can adjust our defense to stop the mesh concept that Wake will use. Also, given that our defense gets worse every week, I fully expect Cuse to win at their place. Even if we somehow were to pull off the improbable feat of winning both games, do we really want to be embarrassed by SMU?

this is why the country and committee doesnt respect us. were in dogfights with trash heaps with the best player in CFB. thats how bad this defense is. its unemployment worthy

I know threads are hard to follow for some of you, but this is what I was responding to:

"Nah if pitt beats clemson we just gotta win 1 of 2 games left . We own tie breaker over them"

i dont think guidry makes a single adjustment ever
 
Easiest scenario is beat Wake and Cuse and we’re in. IMO, if we can’t do that, F it. Really should be able to.

The typical Coastal path is a little more difficult. We beat Wake, lose to Cuse …. I guess if Pitt beats Clemson, we are in. Unfortunately, the “coastal path” has never really worked out for us. Typically VT would put a ***** in it with a win over UVA.

**** yea im just posting what danny boy cane and others are saying on twitter 🤣 prob not a good thing to listen to him but yea if we go 1-1 we dont deserve it anyways would be embarrassing

I always want to make championship games and playoff games.

This "I don't want to make X game because we might lose" is garbage.
