The loss to FSU has taken the life out of this team.

I don't think it had anything to do with the FSU game. They were plenty fired up in the first quarter tonight. The muffed punt took some wind out of their sails on the heels of the 2 fumbles but the bottom line is that the defense just stinks.

I said before this game on the football board that if we come out not emotionally ready it's a telling indictment of the HC. We quit again tonight. Guys can harp on scheme all night, but when you get manhandled by a shtty offense all night it's a pride issue. And when your team has no pride it's a direct reflection of the HC.

Here's the problem; at this point we have better talent than the Dukes of the world; if we are doing all of the things you point out it's b/c our players aren't being coached properly. There is no way that all of our players should be messing up this much this many years in. Yes, we don't have the talent to match FSU, but we should have the talent to match the Dukes of the world and right now our defense looks much much worse than Duke's.
