He’s going NFLWow. If Herbert leaves then they don't have anyone. There goes their run game.
Better question is, will there be a gap to fill? Can he fill the a gap????
I dont know the current situation and the fans treatment of the coaches/players, but the way they treat opposing teams certainly changed. I went to my first game there the year that we beat them to go to the Rose Bowl. It was a close game that we pulled out in the end and pretty much every single VT fan after the game had nice things to say and wished us good luck in the title game.I lived in Blacksburg for 20 years and wotked for the University for the last 10 years I was there. I knew the coaches and mostly the players from the elder Vick and young Vick eras. The town until his final year never really turned on Beamer. It turned on Fuentes almost immediately. He has done nothing but alienate the community and the University. If they aren't careful he may totally burn down all the good Beamer and his boys built for the town and the school
I was about to type that! He’s a big dude. Can we Chazz Surrat him?
SurratLB...........

Listen... If he can be ANYTHING close to Surrat.... Please sign him ASAP!!!!!Surrat
As a known Miami fan I married into a Tech family. I took a lot of crap those years Tech beat us. I worked for a while managing at the campus hotel. The Alumni are some of the most hateful and arrogant people I have ever met. The year of the typhoon rain storm walking to the stadium with my future wife I was bombarded with constant vile and hate. I'm a big muscle guy too, but that mob mentality took over. I can take **** talking, but they were walking with their kids dropping F-bombs and insulting my wife. I almost got into so many fights. They preach respect for their opponents, but that's a load. I ironically live in Charlottesville now and by far their rich counterparts are respectful at every game I've been to. Maybe they don't have the if heads like Tech used to have. I loved Blacksburg the town, but I despised the adults who lived thereI dont know the current situation and the fans treatment of the coaches/players, but the way they treat opposing teams certainly changed. I continued to go to Miami's away games against VT for several games after that and each time their fans became more and more hostile regardless of the stakes of the game. Maybe that is due to them being 'good' for a while and inflating expectations or maybe it's just a symptom of college football or society in general, but they went from intense but friendly once the game was over to screaming and generally just treating us like ****.
It has been probably 8 or so, so maybe things have calmed down a bit, but it wouldn't surprise me if that attitude bled over into expectations of the team and if Fuente is doing things that don't do him any favors, I can see it getting pretty ugly.
