Very, very early prediction but I'll put it on the line now

I love it. Funny how Ariz has more Negs than Brock. Nothing against Brock either. Ariz was so full of crap. People that miss the work need to be checked for CTE. Stefan is actually bringing real reporting here.

At the time it was very entertaining and I think we all were caught up in having someone besides Gary Ferman giving us info. Looking back on it, Ariz was probably 50% with his predictions. Stefan is definitely more professional and has stayed away from the prediction game. He is delivering solid info and leaving the guessing game out of it.

N'Kosi Perry will start game one for the Miami Hurricanes in 2017. I've heard he is going to be given every opportunity to win the job and this is who CMR wants to win the job. Richt wants the RPO to be the staple in the offense and Perry will give him the best chance to do that.

DEAD 💀

2021: Redshirt Junior and backup QB for Miami, N'Kosi Perry announces he is turning pro early, agent Malki Kawa announced.

It was a silly prediction to make all things considered, because in almost all cases a redshirt junior is going to start over a true freshman.

We'll see where he is in 2019; if he wins the starting job that is, otherwise he'll probably just transfer.

One thing I’ve wondered. How much contribution did Pete give to getting press passes to canesinsight?

It wasn't that outrageous really. Rosier hadn't done anything in 3 years. Richt is supposed to be a QB guru, and Perry was his hand picked guy.

Y'all shock? Pete was never good at predicting stuff like this. His money is in predicting where croots will go.
Like Jobe to UM? He wasn’t good at that either. You’re right he was even worse at talent evaluation. He had many on this board thinking Scaife would be an immediate starter when all along it was Reed who has the best chance.

Richt didn't hand pick anything. This is more Pete blowing smoke to over hype the kid. Richt hadn't been here four months when N'Kosi committed. By that time Perry was simply the best of what was left that had any interest in coming to Miami at all. Nobody thought Kaaya was going to leave early, and Allison was committed to the last staph. N'Kosi was brought in to beef up the numbers and boost competition because nobody thought Rosier was going to amount to starting material. The idea was both Perry and Allison were going to watch and learn behind the established starter for two years and develop.

It wasn't until a year later when Kaaya declared after the 2016 season that people started making noise about N'kosi starting right away, and being the hand picked guy was just made up B.S. to support that conclusion.

The mere notion in the OP--that Perry was Mark Richt's hand picked guy who was brought in to take over right away is revisionist history that would have required foresight to know Kaaya was going to leave early 14 months in advance. Perry was brought in to boost competition (which he has done superbly), develop and improve his already top notch talents (another check), and be in line to compete for a starting job this season (reserving judgment until after fall camp). Rosier throwing a wrench in those plans by stepping up and leading the team to our best season in 15 years was a development that nobody--including Coach Richt--ever saw coming. Outside of that, N'kosi Perry is right where normal, not over reacting fan boys, expected him to be at this point. The only reason that N'kosi Perry isn't the starting QB heading into fall camp is that Kaaya left early and Rosier unexpectedly had a good season.

To add it seemed like Richt was hoping Allison was going to take over before competing became too much for him.
