Plus:

+We're 4-0: **** yea.

+James Coley: I liked the game he called when the 1st unit was in. I <3 the Pistol formation. We were more efficient on 3rd downs as well (7-14).

+Stephen Morris: He was rolling before he got hurt.

+Ryan Williams: Stepped up and the offense didn't miss a beat. No worries about next year.

+The Defense: After a bad 1st drive, the ones dominated the rest of the game.

+Stacy Coley: Had 2 touchdowns and almost had 100 yards receiving and a pretty nifty punt return.

+Dallas Crawford: Only had 34 yards rushing, but they were tough yards. Like when Edwards got pulled on 4th down after 3 straight runs and got nothing. Dallas got the TD, his 2nd of the day.

Minus:

-Turnovers: 2 by Duke down by the goal line. 1 by Crow that was returned for a TD, and another by Williams on the final possession. Clean it up.

-Morris re-injuring ankle: Can't have a nagging injury like that going into ACC play.

Thoughts?

Full recap later tonight or tomorrow morning.

Not too worried about the TOs. Up by 28-35 at that pt. Duke trying to find paydirt and 3rd stringers in for the final 2 turnovers. 4-0 . WE BACK!

- 2 big special teams plays called back cuz of penalties

+ dorsett looked like a punt returner

Feel good about Williams. Kid makes pretty good decisions and looks very poised back there running the offense. Coley and Waters are really emerging as a great pair of big WRs for us. Defense looked real good overall. Gus the Bus looking better and better. Once he learns the offense and pass protection, I think he is going to be a great complement to Duke.

Still not crazy about our running game. OL is not really opening up great holes. We should have been able to steam roll these guys. Duke should have had 150 yards today. That is going to come back to bite us in the @ss against better teams. Bunche is the weak link on the OL, guy is just not getting it done, IMO.

Morris still has too much of that "Mummy" tendency IMO. Stands in the pocket TOO long, and is taking a lot of hits for it. He needs to get rid of the ball quicker if the play isnt there. He still hasnt learned to just throw it away, instead of standing in there too long and getting hammered.

Passrush today was good, but not great. We definitely put the heat on the kid, but I would have liked to have seen more sacks.

The entire 4th quarter was an abomination.

Plus- 4-0

Minus- Fans will ***** about a 28 point blowout and some TD's scored in garbage time.

Did not like the OL play second half
Doesn't matter if second or third and what the play call is
Dominate

Hate to see a let down in second half
We beat them like a drum in first half
Would like to keep that rhythm in the second half

Duke needs to stop trying to make Ll plays BIG PLAYS
We also need to figure out our goal line O
It has stunk for two years maybe more

Sans first USF drive and last, the D did its job with all players
The kid Bench did a **** of a job standing in, and finishing the game

After hearing Morris call out USF for being dirty, I actually want to schedule them again next year and hang 70 on them.

Minus: Taggart is a **** for leaving his first team in

We didn't make him pay. Should ran it up on his ***. Not neccessarly leave starters in, but should have at least gone all out with the 2nd string. That ******* and his punk *** program deserved it.

Morris looked good in his time in there. Also really impressive Williams comes in off the bench cold and on the first play completes a first down.

We looked bored at times which is what happens when you keep playing crappy teams. Duke's fumbles were really the only glaring problem I saw though I don't see it being a long term thing.

All in all we could have beaten them by 100 if Morris was needed. People can find things to complain about but we toed the line between slapping them silly and being smart about the rest of the season. This game was as meaningless as the Savannah game.

I think you summed it up, this team looked bored. They were sloppy. Even the second and third stringers, which is shocking. You expect those kids to get in the game and play as hard as the first stringers, but even they were bored. I guess when you play eight quarters against the worst team in the FCS and one of the worst teams in FBS, that'll happen.

I can't wait to get into ACC play where this team will have to play a full four quarters.

Yeah not too happy about this. Unfortunately, the time for rest is over. And if anything he'll be under more pressure in the coming weeks, meaning (1) more need to be mobile and (2) more chances to aggravate the injury. It's conference time and he's gonna be less than 100%, probably for the rest of the season (is my guess).

Hopefully he heals quickly.
