I lived in Utah while he coached there. He pulled similar things there. Wouldn't say byu. Referred to them as the school to the south. It's a show he puts on for the team, fans, and boosters. He's pretty effective unfortunately.

This. The only relevant color is green. Playing up rivalries brings in the cash and justifies his salary. Scouts are smart enough to know that.

Im happy with Golden and would not want Meyer anywhere close to our campus for any reason on earth. **** him. There are a lot of CFB coaches that can win.
 
I see my CP got hammered for a few of the comments I made. I became a fan during the "Thug U" days strictly because Miami was different back then. I know the team won't ever be that again, but I like that mentality. I don't care about winning with class. I just want the team to have a good season. It is easy to say that you wouldn't take Meyer because that wasn't even close to happening because of his image and the school being cheap with coaching hires, but a lot of you would change your tune real quick if that was a viable option. I am not a Gator or a Nole, but I will keep it real. Class is a totally overrated term, especially when not winning.

A whole log of you got butthurt over that comment. I probably have close to 30 negs already. Nick Saban is a scumbag also and I would take him in a second. I only care about the football program though and not the school. This new breed of Cane fan kind of makes me sick on occasion. I guess in 2001 we won with class, but that wasn't nearly as fun as the 80s and 91 championships.
 
What if Urban had the same success and the same arrests at a different school other than Florida? Would some of your opinions change then about taking him as our coach? He is a total scumbag and I don't like him either, but from a football standpoint he does win. I don't know, maybe 5 ****** years of football in a row is getting to me. Don't get me wrong, I do like Golden and think this situation will work out.
 
As long as Meyer is rewarded for bad behavior he will continue.

I know Urban myers circle. One of his "best" friends was someone I knew and actually hung around them few times.

the word that sticks out is Hypocrite. They honestly have no clue how delusional they sound when they preach about doing Gods work but really all they care about is themselves and their image and how much money they can make.

they talk about football like it is one of Gods tools to help kids on a path and Urban is like a preacher...but neglect to see the ones that don't make it in and end up having nothing after they can't get drafted and pretend that those kids don't exist... or how they care about about TBow and championships than what the players are developing in to.

I remember the conversation about violence in football and the long lasting effects on kids and him and his wife wouldn't' shut up about romanticizing the game and how much he cares about the players.
