Update on Chatfield

He shouldn't have never said publicly that his feelings are hurt bc he didn't get an offer "sooner"?? Should've kept that soft shxt to himself.

Schools throw out offers all the time then when Player A wants to commit they tell them hold up we got better players than you that we are waiting on... Hes one of those types of players.

Be thankful that this coaching staff thought you were good enough to even recruit in the 1st place. Gtfoh

Here's the thing: From what I've seen, Chatfield has an incredible motor and plays with great aggression. But he is undersized. Bull&hit he's 220+ lbs. He is smart to realize that he fits best in a 3-4 defense.

I really like the kid and hope he dons a Canes uniform, but I would not be mad if he chose to play some place else. Hopefully he's smart enough not to step foot in that UF cesspool. I wouldn't wish that on the kid.

Either way, I think he'd be a huge asset for us as the second coming of Toolbox, but I will not lose sleep over this one come Wednesday.

Chatfield Almost the same exact measurables that Trent Harris had coming out of HS

Strange that Richt didn't give him an in home. He's tight with PS2 as well.

Yeah I found this odd. Richt has an oppty for an In home but made a call instead. Seems odd to me.

It is weird. Actions speak louder than words. It’s possible Chatfield has not shown the same interest in return which turned off our staff? Pure speculation.

Chatfield going to the gators is a recruiting loss, I don’t care what y’all say. Watch his film and tell me he isn’t somebody who can impact the game with his intelligence and his insincts at the D1 level. His athleticism is definitely underrated, and Kool can take him to the next level in terms of his pass rushing skill set. When he’s ballin for the gators I will definitely remember KrazyCane terrible takes on his recruitment.

was slow played because we had better options, instead of being butthurt that we went after better players maybe be grateful that we even gave him the opportunity. if you want to be on the good team take advantage of the door Miami opened for him but if you want to make it about yourself and where it's easy go to Florida

butthurt? you're an idiot. Just about everything you said is stupid.

just hope he doesn't sway nesta as well (don't expect him too, just sayin')

When he's a 2nd string OLB for the Gators we will have much better talent like we do now for me not to care.

You must think this the last recruiting cycle in cfb? Hes a dime a dozen d1 prospect.... nobody is going to care after this season starts.

It's funny, when we weren't offering kids like this, some of you would scream about how productive they we're against South FL talent. Now, since we have offered and he appears headed elsewhere the production doesn't matter and he's JAG. Chatfield is a good football player. We could use him.

To summarize it up as neatly as I can:

-He didn't get an in-home visit from CMR, but he spoke with them
-He likes UF because he can be more a 3-4 LB, but he likes that he probably has a better chance of playing as a freshman (says that the UM coaches told him he could have some sort of LB package here too).

-Said he was frustrated by the slow play from Miami, but learned to let it go.

-Unfamiliarity with UF's coaching staff is not in their favor. He had a good relationship with former UF corners coach Corey Bell (his cousin).

I'm just a guy, but my gut after reading that article is that he chooses Florida.

It appears that he did not have an offer. No inhome means NO Offer.

If he believes he is good enough, nothing wrong with being offended someone sleeping on him.

his lead recruiter left

Yeah and he doesn’t really care about it. Doesn’t know staff up there and that’s okay too. Hate to say it but I think he is a gator. Not wanting to put his hand in the dirt tells me all the stuff about dream team and hurt feelings is not important at all. We are, thank God, a 4-3 again and he wants the golden defense. I doubt he has the speed we need to be searching for in our lbs so I can see why the staff hesitated on him. He wants to be something they don’t see him being. Kid has talent and I’d like to get him but not as a slow lb or playing a 3-4 to pacify hijm.

Anybody saying they don’t care is a ******* idiot. The kid could be an awesome pass rush specialist here at very minimum. Andrew if you’re reading this by chance the people with a brain in their heads want you here. Many of us pushed for your offer much earlier & were ecstatic when it finally came. Stay home.

Productive S FL guy from a powerhouse high school? Size be damned, get him here.

Count me in as one that wants all 4. Can't keep letting talent get away to SEC programs and expect to be elite.

Why should he keep it to himself? Anyone with common sense would assume he would be a little salty at first. But he said he is over it. which i hope is the truth, and if so thats all you can ask for. No reason to even be mad now that he is over it.

Lol hes soft and not that good to begin with to be begging for his crying ***. Much better prospects Miami is going to continue to recruit each class. Wouldnt do **** here but transfer after his freshman year anyway
