Uncle Willie at it again

Maybe if you’d give out names we wouldn’t have to guess. We all know Washington so you are a little late to the party on this.
Maybe he shouldn't name anybody. Stop identifying our targets so Willie won't know. We'll have fun guessing, too.

If you didnt notice, UM has changed its recruiting priorities also over the past month.

Washington is a terrific prospect from FSU’s neck of the woods. They have a new OC and it makes perfect sense that they’d be trying to figure out if he’s a take before NSD.

I see no reason to think Briles is copying UM for any reason. Our last offensive staff was a disaster (and they were the ones recruiting Washington), and our new ones haven’t been there long enough to have a view on their evaluations.

Why is it some of U on this board seem to think U need to defend these Criminoles & Gayturds 🤔

Nah Uncle Willie did the same thing last year. Follow around whoever Miami is recruiting

I remember butch jones tried that tactic. How’s he doing in Tennessee?

Willies coaching path is going to be very similar.

LoL, with the offense he was running, i couldnt take him serious and im sure he couldnt take himself serious, that offense is only good if another team is desparate than you can hit on all those trick plays, but for their runningback cam akers to be ineffective last year, that man got to much talent. Running trick plays from the 3 yard line. And the d-co he brought in along with the pathetic alumni o-line coach, that defense they running, im just not seeing how its going to translate to the athletes they have, more big10 philosophies being forced on Florida players, they laughed at us when we had the penn disgrace morons,, now its our turn..

Why is it so many people seem to think whining about our recruits and our competitors is worthwhile?

Our problems have been self inflicted, and our solutions will be, also.

Any poster here who doesn't support Willie Taggart at fsu is not a Cane. He is the best coach they've had in forty years.

It’s amazing he hasn’t offered Zion Nelson yet.

Being real.

If Zion Nelson was a February signee, I would wager a few power five teams would be on him.

...and I don't even really like him as a prospect, but the new recruiting schedule forces a lot of these unsigned players to move up after the deck gets cleared during the Early Signing Period.

Meh. There are the same number of spots now as before, just different time windows around signing. If anything, there are fewer spots today than a few years ago, because tightening the rules around what an initial counter is to include LOIs means schools can take fewer chances on projects.

In the old cycle, it wouldn't be uncommon for those mid-tier P5 players to get moved up on teams boards when their Plan As committed elsewhere. This new cycle takes all of those "Plan B" and even "Plan C" types off the board as they sign those LOIs. So, once you get a chance to check out senior film and reset the board during the no contact period over the holiday, all those guys Plan Bs are gone and surely some Plan Cs. Kids with NC State, UCF, USF, Purdue, Syracuse type offers are locked up before the holiday break. So, as a result...now...your late senior evaluations, your Plan D kids, after the break, are suddenly takes to the big Power 5 programs. Even your Group of 5 type prospects are off the board in many cases before the break.

Again, it’s the same number of spots. You are talking about a 240 lb. 2* kid whose offers were App State and Coastal Carolina. If you think Nelson is somehow a kid who would be a legit P5 OL kid absent the mess we had under Richt, then I guess all you’re saying is you evaluate him more highly than P5 schools actually did. It has nothing to do with the timing issues. From my perspective, he was not a P5 OT prospect, which is why he didn’t have P5 offers. He was a Richt reach because Richt.
