actually it shows that Ryan Williams skillset is better for this version of the offense than Morris. We run straight ahead better with Crawford and can use the play action better off of that. Play action involves the tight ends too. Morris is a shotgun spread guy. He needs to get some yards with his feet when he's not on.

i've been saying it since his freshman year. he can't read a defense to save his life so he needs the field to be spread out to get him easy throwing lanes. same problem that wright, harris, and berlin had.
 
This basic cover 2 gets terrible and if a QB has some talent it can be beat....it's predicated on a team not being able to do anything in the red zone and settling for FG's but their WR's are so tall and their TE is giving us issues concerns me. Make them make plays to beat us, not hoping they make a mistake.

They will not sit Morris but he is just awful at anything less than 20 yards. He just throws balls off his back foot hoping the WR is there. Have to be smarter in FG range there. 1-4 and worse scoring D in the ACC and we look terrible on offense.
 
Certainly not playing well, but I'm expecting us to make an adjusting to be more physical with Ebron in the second half and make them go to others. Gunter is going to get deep if he isn't threatened underneath and the defense will play better.

I need to see the offense do something other than that draw run out of the shotgun for sure though. Why we haven't lined up in I and ran at them with physical play is beyond me. As soon as they bring that small speed package in, I'd be getting physical and wearing them out personally. Need Morris to make a few safe plays and then get rolling.

Most of us figured UNC in their Super Bowl was going to play well, but it's all about the win at this point for me. Took a shot and still in it somehow.
 
Too many left over JAGs at key leadership positions to be great this year. AG is not a coach to polish turds. He is a recruiter mostly.

Dear ESPN: a touchdown off a blocked FG constitutes "points off of turnovers" far as I'm concerned. Way to **** up that stat

We'll see how much of what Goldens been preaching holds. We've heard lots of talk now time for some walk.
 
The reason Coley is calling these plays is obviously because Morris cant take snaps under center. His ankle is obviously not 100%. But if that's the case, then maybe we need to have Wiliams out there and get some consistency, and more diversity on what we can do in terms of play calling.
