lmao at Highsmith doing something a ****ing 7 year old would know not to do. Played the ball, mistimed the jump, WENT BEHIND the receiver while playing the ball, just so you know, if the WR happened to drop it, he could play clean up there. Like, incredibly bad.

Plus if he had gone for the hit instead of the ball he might have gotten a flag but he would have put Benjamen out for the game with a killshot to the sternum.

I completely disagree w/ those blaming Donofrio. He has had them in a few 3d and longs, where poor execution has allowed FSU to sustain their drives - eg highsmith blowing the pass in f'n cover two; our blitzers not being able to get Winston despite being in position to make a play.
 
Coley is going to run the same first down play a couple more times to lull them to sleep, then he's going to hit. Won't be this first series.

This game is reminding me of the 99 game. They had all the hype with Weinkie and KK had been struggling, and he went in there and lit it up with Santana. We ended up losing but we had them sweating bullets in the game, and you could see the foundations being laid for our resurgence.

Defense needs to really step it up though. We NEED to get off the field and make some stops.

We need to be a little less predictable on first down, but otherwise I think the game plan is sound...we are getting walford involved which is a positive. We need to find him on first down if they continue to sell out on stopping the run on first. Hurns is coming up HUGE with the bright lights on. The pistol-t read play looked like it may pay off later but now morris is gimpy again...

Defensively we are playing well, but we got burnt on a blitz when fsu had the perfect play called, and we are letting jameis extend drives with his feet. Need to have somebody in position to stop him on third down, especially if we are going to go forward just rushing four in those situations.

All in all...we have not been perfect, but we are right there, if we can crank it up on D and get more positive plays on first down, we can get to the fourth in position to go get the win. I like where we are. Just need to make some plays on d...

Has anyone discussed whether Coley may have had a touchdown on that bomb if he did not break off his pattern and try to leap for the ball?
