UGA/ Kirby Smart Recruiting- Concerning?

Does it raise a red flag to anyone that ****head Kirby Smart has the top 3 class in the country with the same resources Richt had at UGA?

O and they sucked on the field this year at 7-5.

Where is this staffs first year recruiting bump?

Compare the fanbase support and facilities maybe you'll get your answer. 4 straight coaching staffs, same results. But let's keep firing coaches clearly that's the problem.
 
UGA has several Bag Men, and Miami doesn't.

For the first time in 30 years Coach Mark Richt is having to recruit without the benefit of Bag Men to grease the recruiting wheels. Add to that the offensive product on the field has been suspect an he is having growing pains in recruiting players. But hopefully he will get is fixed over the next few weeks to finish strong.

Richt isn't some beastly recruiter..I never thought he was. Uga owns that state and have their pick of whom he they wanted , add to it the bagman..and he still didn't recruit that we'll their imo. I like richt for his stability, and overall knowledge, recruiting was low on the list for me..I expected this..we aren't winning and aren't in the bible belt.

Richt has had lesser recruiting classes than UGA currently and produced better on field results. Smart is a corch....they will be calling for his head after this year

I've had Richt down as a Jerry Maguire "king of the living room" type recruiter. Get him in on an in-home visit and get them on campus for an official and he's going to sway more than he doesn't.

Obviously a lot of teams are pre-empting that by paying their kids off to not visit ala Harley.

why are we soooo freaking worried about Kirby...
I have seen post on him sooo much
No one is invading Georgia like they are the "state of Miami"

A lot of his kids are from that state of Georgia, I expect them to stay home
much like Texas kids, Louisiana, Cali and more.

Do expect him to lose some of his kids yes...We have one DEEJAY ....

Not surprised at all. Richt left UGA with a winning brand for Kirby to sell. Remember, Kirby's staff is comprised of recruiters (Coley's their WR coach.....that guy). Georgia doesn't have any competition within their state for any highly rated kids. We have UF and FSU we have to battle over constantly. Richt on the other hand has to rebuild Miami into what it once was considering the previous 3 coaches let it crumble to this point.

In two years when UGA's winning 7-8 games a year, the locals over there in Athens are going to get heated. Because it's great getting these highly rated recruiting classes (we saw it in '08 when we got the no. 1 class). But when you don't do anything with said talent, it makes the failure more infuriating.
 
UGA's bagmen are extra motivated this year to make sure that the whole letting go of Richt thing doesn't appear to be a mistake.

No. he's getting a bump just like Richt is.

UGA last two years was about 7 and 8. So he's gonna move up 4 spots or so.
Randy Shannon got a bigger bump. Let that sink in.

Richt probably finishes around 10 or 11 whereas our last two years we were 26 and 21

Miami has FSU & UF getting recruits from the area. Then you have Bama, Michigan, & OSU in the same pot. UGA is the top school in their state.

Georgia's class is not better than ours by any means.

It is rated higher because of recruiting service bias.

Isaiah Wilson is not a better prospect than Vaughn Donaldson; however, Donaldson is a 4 star and Wilson is a 5. That is strictly bias.

Robert Beal is not a better prospect than DJ Johnson; however, Beal is a 4 star and Johnson is a 5.

Our class is generally the same as theirs.

Seriously you can't believe that Richt can't recruit without bag men!... Lmao stick to find recruits. I hate when you add in your kamikaze theories it just adds on to the notion that you have some challenges.
