UFag Spring Scrimmage

So this read option thing.

1. If the read is whether the DE is coming hard or standing his ground, why would that be so difficult for our defense? We never bring the DEs, so wouldn't we get the same read from Driskell every time they run it?

2. Ain't no way in **** it's more difficult to scheme against than GT's option being that GT has 3 more options involved.

3. Didn't BJ Daniels / USF run the read option zone offense? LOL how that worked out and BJ Daniels >>>>>>> Driskell

like i said....hey, let's not show up since we "expect to lose"

that's a beeeeyotch mentality
Its a bytch attitude but again if u playing than yea. Again though we are fans and we can be objective and talk about our opinions and Im always a believer in defense wins period hence y the sec is boss. We can have an O and be Oregon but I want that Bama D that UM of the past is used too and we cant do it without AG and the staff noy paying these 5 star DTs sec cash man.

I watched Florida live twice last year, their MO was use a ton of players on both sides of the ball and wear teams down. The LSU game was a bare knuckle fight that UF grinded out. That will be their MO this year, no question. I think if we can get up big and force them to try to get out of that, a la Louisville, then we can win. It's really on Morris and the running game to keep UF off the field as long as possible.

Jefe is right on here. The game will be a slug fest and it will take our front lines to win. Will our offensive and defensive lines be up to the challenge? Idk

HeHateMe,

You are dead on about Burton. One other key piece Florida lost was Jordan Reed. Burton will take over that role more in earnest. Burton will be the #1 target for Driskell and like you s mentioned Burton will play some Wildcat.

I firmly believe UFag will sell out to stop the run game....it's Stephen Morris and the receivers/TE who will need to step up on offense.

This is what I'm afraid of. Though they lost Elam and Evans they still have their starting CBs, a pretty good one in Loucheiz Purifoy, a decent Marcus Roberson, and Jaylen Watkins. Brian Poole has been having a good spring. Not to mention Vernon Hargreaves coming in later.

They have excellent corners. Probably the best in the nation.

The matchup that will decide this game is the Florida offense against the Miami defense. The Gator offense is garbage and so is our defense until proven otherwise. Players need to step up, because right now nobody except maybe Perryman scares you on either side.

We are going to shred their defense. One safety will always be staying deep to try to keep the top on Dorsett, leaving Scott/Waters/Coley/Hurns single covered. Duke in the flat or wheeling out of the backfield covered by a linebacker. Poole, Watkins or a linebacker trying to cover a giant tight end crossing or running down the seam.
All the while Morris will be protected by one of the best, if not the best, offensive line in College.

We are going to tear their *** wide open.

TE's will be a big part of this game. Most defenses don't cover them well. I think Golden really wants to take a page out of New England's playbook and use them to create mismatches. If the middle of the DL can stay healthy, they have a chance. They will have to match the physicality of UF though.

This is alsoaconcern I for one do not trust Morris yet to fit balls in tight windows, teams that took away the deep ball beat us.

Miami wont face a better Dline or better cover secondary than UF all year. If their is a weakness in the D its perimeter runs and LB's in coverage.
