I’d be really cautious about the Gatas if I was a recruit. It’s not flaming to say they haven’t honored at least one high profile NIL deal already (it’s factual as there’s ongoing litigation about it). Will they honor the current offers they are putting out?

You're gonna have to fight for recruits and your roster daily/yearly. Spend the money on trenches/QBs/DBs. All other positions recruit height weight speed and get coaches that can scheme evaluate and develope.

Saw him play this year and was shocked to see how small he was. Electric but severely lacked physicality and toughness but boy was clean with the ball in his hand. Refused to block and got one of his other WRs blown up on a screen.

I texted a few others on here my thoughts on him and Stubbs back in early October. Stubbs has tools for days but lots to learn and clean up to be a good safety and my quote was “based on our current safety play I’m not sure Miami will ever get it out of him. Might be better off spending that money on a 1-2 year proven portal kid”

Of course that was immediately before our defense fully imploded. We could use the talent back there but until I see who is coaching them, I think the kid did better for himself. Our system isn’t right for him. He NEEDS a ballhawk playing beside him.

He’s a SS playing in an era where all db’s must cover. I do disagree on not fitting here , as bad as our safeties looked this year in coverage he’d be perfect lol. French is not as big as his listing but he’s really good with the ball in his hands. Hes just different after the catch.

Think I watched Stubbs about 2 weeks after you saw him against Bradford and sent me the clip of your boys kid pancaking Stubbs. Came away with the same thoughts you had.

I saw him against Rockledge.

This is a fickle friggen industry man.

Swear it was just a few months ago we were banging on tables that we were kings. Stealing recruits in their own stadium.

Who knows where we’ll be in five months.

Fact is people get too high and too low with this when it’s always more in the middle. Things are never as good as they appear or as bad as they appear. Just like when everyone was sucking each others penises here I said after VT “we have major issues on defense” then got attacked for being negative lol. Now here we are.
