UF has fired their crappy OC and OL coach after two season.

I think pease got scapegoated a bit, but it's the precedent. That level of ineptitude on either side of the ball is unacceptable. Someone's head has to roll.

And another thing, next porster that refers to temple in defense of our staff is getting negged to Bolivia

Just read one potential candidate for their OC position is Jedd Fisch.. that would be funny

But, if Fisch left Jax, their offense would fall apart.....

Oh, wait.............never mind. Amos Alonzo Fisch strikes again.

stupid how fool? THIS **** SUCKER praising the gators? Oh they are not settling for mediocrity bull ****… THEIR HEAD CORCH IS A CHUMP! OP is acting like the gators want to turn everything around by firing their coordinator when the problem is the head man. Btw last year in Temple Donofrio 17 ranked D nationally. No one likes to address those things because it is easier to just rip people.

Golden at Temple

year 1: 1-11
year 2: 4-8
year 3:5-7
year 4:9-4
year 5:8-4

AT FREAKING TEMPLE.. He turned a doormat program into a winning team. Now he is trying to do the same here and you people really think he is going to settle for mediocrity? He had a top 20 Defense AT TEMPLE! Imagine what he will do with Miami talent.

Miami talent plays in 4-3 defenses from the time they are 7 years old. We aren't built for what the coaches want to run. I was open to it, but it has obviously failed. A coach with such a narrow minded view of how to play defense will not be a HC for long. Just exposes Golden's limited football knowledge. He need's to get someone who knows how to run a system that showcases our talent.

See, I can roll with the criticism of the defense and of Golden all day long. But this becomes a typical message board when people start claiming that the coach just doesn't know any better. As though guys who volunteer to coach over at Carol City after work understand high level defense better than a guy who has been doing it for 25 years.

I'm sure they have the coin to be able to can people at will, or at leas have people on a shorter leash than other programs

Agreed, but not sure that's a good thing. Would you want to go there as OC knowing that the head coach is hanging by a thread and that the previous one really wasn't given a chance?

i really wish we would do the voting system that reddit does. It makes it so much easier to see good threads instead of one posting annoying propaganda. We all get it D'nofrio is bad. Defense needs to change. We have so much talent. The coastal is **** and we deserve a better conference. Unless you are posting some news that we don't know of yet about the football team, please don't post.

No. But I was responding to the inference in the OP. I think that SEC schools have more leeway to can people after a shorter time than we might, even though they pay people more.

get to the NFL and ball out in a 3-4 ala Vince Wilfork what do you say then? I guess Belicheck is a stupid coavh because he runs 3-4. Saban Ran it with the Dolphins and has used it at Bama. Both must be ******* idiots.

1. Vince Wilfork is a literal specimen. Using outliers to make a point reeks of stupidity.
2. Saban has switched to a lot of 4-3 fronts, 1 gapping to counter the spread. Kirby Smart has stated himself that they barely even run their base these days.

Kirby Smart said:
Although Alabama is known for running a 3-4 defense -- meaning three defensive linemen and four linebackers -- that doesn't quite describe the practical reality on the field. "We are a 3-4 defense. That does not mean we play the 3-4 all the time," Smart has said. "Last year, we ran the 3-4 front 25 percent of the time. The rest of the time we played 4-3...The reason for the shift is that offenses have been changing, so Saban must change with them. Saban's 3-4 was designed as a run-stuffing defense for traditional attacks, but teams like Texas A&M are far more likely to spread the field. "When we play a two-back team, we are in a 3-4 defense. Georgia and LSU are two-back offenses," said Smart. "If a team is a one-back offense with three or four wide receivers in the set, we match their personnel and play nickel or dime. When we play nickel or dime, we play very little 3-4 defense out of it; we are in the 4-3 front."

Look at that. A coach adapting his philosophy. What a concept.

Looking at smart's quote probably why even though we gave up a ton of yards we looked better and seemed more prepared for UF this year. they are more traditional type offense who ran a slow pace huddle after every play 2 backs on 1st and 2nd down then go shotgun on 3rd down. Plays right into our comfort zone for our defensive philosophy. Once we had to play different teams and we stuck to what we know without flexibility, we got smoked.

Absolutely. Plays right to our strengths. I believe Lu or someone else mentioned this a while back, but of course, people didn't want to hear it.

UF has had Weis and now Pease both guys who had great resumes. I think a lot of the offensive failure is due to what Muschamp wants his team to be. His philosophy leads to ****ty offenses. Its what gives everyone concern about Golden and his philosophy.

Pease was one of the most coveted OC before going to UF, the problem is Muschamp.

I hate Peas. I hated him when he was QB for the Gatas, and I hate him now. Good riddance!

Glad they kept Muschump.
