UA/USAA practices

We've heard recruits say this same thing before.
We have but there has only been 3 other occasions in the last 20 years we have brought in this level of talent on paper. 04, 08, and 18. I’d argue that 18 was a notch below 04,08 and 23. Still, I get your point, we have learned the hard way that not only is it not a guarantee this talent develops but we need to keep stacking the talent afterwards. The 09 and 19 classes were particular disasters. Still, it is a reason to get excited and us Canes haven’t exactly had too many of those the last two decades.

We’ve also finally put a system in place to support the players coming in

Gonna take some time and not sure if this particular regime is the one that brings it back, but at least the foundational support is finally there

No more crying poor about the lack of resources

Normally we have a kid or two. What’s crazy is this year having multiple kids at all the games. Just UA alone would have been 6 I think if not for injuries.

That part is so true. Our program was just living off its past glory and reality was that we were closer to a G5 school than a big boy program. Remember the days where we would lose practices in the Miami summer rains and could not get them back? **** was amateur hour.

100% man

I mean imagine us being surprised in the past when we can’t beat SEC schools for kids at places like IMG

They’re literally going to the best high schools to prepare them for college, and then going to the best colleges to prepare them for the pros

Miracle we were able to land some of the kids we did

I mean, we didn’t exactly get the cream of the crop at IMG. Players like Tyree St Louis and Ryan Fines were pedestrian at best.
