- It was 1-on-1 day at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports for the second day of Under Armour All-American game prep.
Cormani McClain didn't take on any competitors during that portion of the session, which was notable. However, while some may think it was because the five-star didn’t want to take reps against some of the nation’s top wideouts, the Team Speed staff actually had to take McClain’s helmet from him because he was trying to get in there while nursing a shoulder injury. He was in a shoulder brace on Friday. Despite the setback, McClain still wanted to get in there.
McClain did get some run in the 7-on-7 and got beat by Utah commit
Mikey Matthews for a touchdown. During pass skeletons, McClain was targeted twice and broke up both passes.

Rueben Bain wasn’t as impactful as he was in the first day in team drills but did get some good work during 1-on-1’s against offensive lineman. Bain beat Oklahoma signee
Cayden Green and then pushed Alabama signee
Olaus Alinen back into the bag that represented the quarterback.

Robert Stafford kind of blended in amongst the cornerbacks. He gave up a couple of scores in 1-on-1’s. I do like the way he’s built and he is a big time athlete but wasn’t amongst the top performers on the day. I like his upside though.
- It’ll be an uphill climb for Miami to get their hands on
Nyckoles Harbor but he is an insane athlete who’s proven to be a good enough pass catcher. During 7-on-7 period, 247Sports’ Sean Bock told me that Harbor caught three passes. Sure, he may not be the most natural pass catcher but the athletic upside is pretty nuts. He reportedly went 4.41 in the 40-yard dash today, finishing second in the ‘Fastest Man’ competition to Colorado signee
Dylan Edwards. He beat Georgia signee
Joenel Aguero to earn a chance for the title. Watching him move at 6-foot-5, 240-pounds was beyond impressive.

Rodrick Pleasant was one of the five best performers on the day after breaking up two passes in 11-on-11 and another in the 1-on-1 portion of the day. Miami doesn’t seem to be pushing a ton right now, but I wouldn’t be upset if they made a run at the burner out of California.
