Yea but unlike Judas this kid has played things close to the vest all along. He isn't committed anywhere yet but we have an idea of the schools he's interested in. If he's been so private through the whole process I doubt he's gonna just show his hand on twitter

Usually when a kid is quiet about his commitment then he's not signing with the hometown team.

That's what we said about Sony Michel. Kid probably doesn't want to deal with the hometown pressure, and he probably doesn't want to have to tell his old high school coach "no."

Seems to me that if he were coming, he would have been committed already. But of course anything is possible.

Out of this class in 2018 the staff has hit on EVERY target they had at each position
Got the 2 rbs they targeted
Got an elite qb late in recruiting
Got the 3 receivers they targeted from the start
Got the 2 elite tight ends they targeted from the start
Got the 3 lineman they targeted
Got nesta at dt
Got Patrick Joyner who they targeted for quite awhile
Db- got gurvan hall-top 5 overall target in the class, got frierson Ivey and blades, again all dbs they targeted.

The only guy who they targeted that we didn’t get was jobe which after reading some tea leaves sounds like this kid knew months ago he wasn’t coming here and led on the staff. Glad we don’t have any more wishy washy recruits we are recruiting for the rest of the class. Thought this was interesting about jobe View attachment 56550

With that being said the rest of our targets left will have our whole staffs attention. Give the staff the benefit of doubt. They have been closing on their guys all cycle long. Is it me or did richt sound like he had a quiet confidence or like was determined to close on our db/ dL targets in the press conference today?

Ironically his coaching is actually pretty good. Seems to be one of those “im not gonna beg u to come here” guys which is honorable but gets you nowhere sadly.

Matt Doherty was just on with Joe Rose. He mentioned that who they had left for February was obvious to anyone who follows recruiting. Joe knew he meant the American Heritage kids and then asked if Matt wanted to say anything to kids who might be listening. Matt just said that the guy who is in the boat with them (Nesta) just needs to keep on paddling for them. Also in a round about way said he felt really good about them all.

To 100% honest.. I feel really good about our chances of landing Campbell, Chatfields, and Surtain. Bag game won't affect them at all since they ain't struggling for money. Nesta, Camp, and Tain all seem like a super tight knit group. Chatfield seems like he'll follow where the group goes. I think we gucci.
