Tyson Campbell recruitment??

Sooooo who’s going to post Andrew Ivins article

Fort Lauderdale American Heritage five-star cornerback Tyson Campbell made his way to Hard Rock Stadium for the first time this season last Saturday.

Things went well.

“I enjoyed it,” Campbell told InsideTheU on Wednesday when asked about Miami’s 41-8 blowout of Notre Dame. “The fans put on a good show and so did the Hurricanes. My mom and dad also really enjoyed it.”

Campbell, who is listed as the nation’s No. 3 cornerback prospect on the industry-generated composite, is one of the top targets remaining on the board for Miami this cycle. That’s why the coaches made sure to get plenty of face time with the U.S. Army All-American and his parents inside Club Liv before the team started warmups.

“I got to talk to [safeties coach Ephraim Banda], [cornerbacks coach Mike Rumph] and [defensive coordinator Manny Diaz] about their plans to stop Notre Dame and stuff. That was cool.”

Once the game kicked off Campbell saw the Hurricanes force a bunch of turnovers and shut down an Irish offense that featured a Heisman hopeful in running back Josh Adams.

“I noticed that the guys were having fun out there. The defense looked pretty simple. The guys did their jobs, made plays and they had fun. That’s what you want to do when you’re playing in a football game.”

Campbell also got a chance to watch Rumph coach up guys like Michael Jackson and Trajan Bandy on the sidelines.

“It’s cool just actually having known him since I was younger and just seeing him being successful on one of the higher levels of football. It’s always good to see someone you know be successful like that.”

Campbell was scheduled to take an unofficial visit to Georgia a few weeks ago, but ended up not making the trip after he injured his foot in a game against Coconut Creek and had to be taken to the hospital for x-rays.

“I got hurt so my dad canceled the flight.”

While the senior isn't sure if he will rescheduled the unofficial up to Athens, he said that Georgia is still in line to receive an official visit from him. So is Miami, Alabama and Ohio State.

Tip of the hat to Ivins for securing the interview.

Alot of posters here talk bad about Ivins but he has earned his stripes as a Miami insider

I don't think it's close. Rumph can coach CBs. Rumph has coached Ty since he was a lil jit. We will be good there regardless. Have to think Ty will want to stay home and compete for national championships near his family. His teammates and boys Nesta and Chatfield will be Canes.

I understand wanting to enjoy the process as a 5 star guy. I sure as **** would if God decided to bless me that way.

Please, for the love of God, Canes fans, lay off Ty and his family. They will make the best decision for them. I assume it will be for the Canes but even if not they have all earned our respect for the way they have handled the process.

No doubt. All signs point toward Miami, but even if he chooses to go elsewhere he has done things the right way. Respect to him and his family...wish more kids would follow his lead.

Tyson and Patrick already know where they going every since September 22. If you go to (David Furones) twitter page under his Media go down to September 22 watch the video of David talking Tyson and Patrick about Xavier trying to recruit them both to Bama after the game. They look at each other started laughing and smiling at each other then Patrick told Tyson to answer the question, Tyson almost got smart then laugh. They got to know where they are going and could be a package deal I hope.

Some of yall are ******* i n g crazy. Following kids twitter videos.. I'm backing out of this thread. .

61 pages of people saying they don't know anything, but they kinda do, but if I did I wouldn't tell you, because only Tyson knows, even his family doesn't know, but I talked to his family who doesn't know so I kinda know even more nothing, but I do know something even though nobody knows nothing.

I feel smarter after reading this post.

FYI to everyone who freaks out incessantly. This right here is the end game for his perceived love affair with other programs. Seems calculated to me

So is anyone going to dig up the video with Tyson doing an interview and someone comes up behind him, flashes the U, and says “silent” and does that ruin the fun for the anti-UM conspiracy theorists?

He’s going to be a Cane guaranteed!

After watching lowly 3 and 4 stars balling out everywhere including for us, I don't care where 5 star kids like Tyson and Pat go. It doesn't even matter. Florida is so **** deep at this position it's crazy.

It's idiotic to try to categorize the DB talent in this state. Once you reach a certain level of athlete, it's a mfing crapshoot as to who will succeed or fail in college.

A class of Miguel Edwards, Wildgoose, keidron smith, Divaad Wilson, Stanley Garner, and Troutman could easily end up to be better than the one we are expecting. And I'm probably leaving out another 5 names that no one really talks about who will blow up elsewhere.

... Is there a video of this?

They don't blindly give out 5 stars. It's been shown time and time again that 5 stars are more likely than 4, and 4 more likely than 3 to ball out and be drafted into the NFL. If anything we got lucky after 10 years of lower than average (for us) recruiting classes. We finally got a bunch of underrated 3 stars on a team that maybe should have been 4 stars. Sure everywhere you look there are 3 stars killing it, but that is because there are so many of them. Only like 7% of 3 stars are drafted. Over 50% of 5 stars are drafted.
