Come on man, don't act like the two situations are the same when they aren't. When all was said and done, it was pretty clear the reason Harley didn't flip earlier was because we wanted other guys over him. Like I said a few posts back, as soon as we got him on campus with the intent to flip him, that's what happened. There may have been a slight delay on his part since we slow-played him, but he clearly got over that pretty quickly because he knew he wanted to be at Miami. It's basically the opposite with Tyson though in that he's been spurning us for other schools. Of course, that is his right, so you won't see any bashing from me. However, you also won't see me cheering him on if he chooses to go elsewhere.

Can't say I was on board with downright bashing Harley like many were either, but I don't see the same level of hate going for Tyson right now. Just people facing what appears to be the reality of the situation.

I think it's pretty bizarre to call a recruit a traitor when he hasn't even committed anywhere, much less signed.

Obviously things don't look great for us getting him right now but they didn't for a guy like Herbert last year either.

Has it possibly dawned on anyone that the coaching staff encouraged Tyson to take all the visits, first, before deciding if Miami is truly the place for him? I recall Richt saying he likes guys to be sure that this is what they want, instead of committing b/c of euphoria, and then changing their minds later. I'm sure contingency plans are in place, but I'm also pretty sure that based upon the relationship that Rumph has w/ Campbell that they are in the loop about everything. I think we just need to stop analyzing every single snap chat or tweet. This is coming from a guy who had his hoodie dang near 95% of last year's recruiting cycle.

This is absolutely what happened. Rick encouraged Tyson to do the KKK Summer Tour instead of participating in UM's biggest recruiting event of the year.

You're reaching blood. That's not what I said. I said maybe the staff encouraged Tyson to take visits, FIRST, before deciding if Miami is truly the place for him. That was a hypothetical scenario, since Richt is big on kids being sure, first, before accepting commitments. Now you can take that statement how you want, my g, but I said nothing about Richt encouraging him to skip our biggest event to go the biggest KKK Summer Tour of the season.

There can be no doubt that Rick wanted him at Paradise. You're right. Rick doesn't want guys to commit to UM unless they're sure, but he **** sure doesn't want his number 1 remaining DB recruit to go on the KKK Summer Tour instead of coming to Paradise. He's bringing all these guys like Lewis and Reed in for a reason. That's to convince recruits to come here.

Ultimately, Rick's success and job depends on him convincing top players like Campbell to come here, and the chance of convincing him goes up if he comes to Paradise instead of doing the KKK Summer Tour.

On a serious note to you others, so what if Athens is close to Clemson? You're telling me he couldn't have come to Paradise (a much better camp than any of these others and it is NOT close) and then headed up to Clemson afterward? Bull ****. Instead, he's visiting everywhere BUT Miami. Thinking it might be time to accept reality on this one. Kid doesn't want to be here.

Mahoney is the guy who reads and posts on a recruiting board every day yet acts like he's too cool and grown up to care about recruiting.

The trajectory is set.. I'm not gonna get anxious in July with a #1 class, fall camp around the corner, and national title hopes for the season. If kids don't want to be down (especially a Heritage kid) then who cares? Someone else inevitably will shine..

Kids get hurt and bust out all the time. Y'all act like we don't have good coaches and other talented DB recruits in a class loaded with DBs to take his place..

1. How much better than the next kid is Campbell gonna be in our system with our coaches?
2. What overall impact on wins and losses will this particular (non QB) recruit have?
3. Can he come in an beat out Young, Dean, Bandy, other incumbents and the CBs we have coming in '18?

Lot of dudes doing work at Greentree and openly committed to over-emphasize the importance of a DB that still has a year left in H.S.

We know he isn't going to be there this weekend. I've seen a couple people mention a Monday visit, but can't confirm that anywhere. It's not like it would be a surprise though, and he likely will visit Bama soon, so I'm not sure exactly what you're thumping your chest about here.
