Florida State goes 9-4 with losses to Oklahoma, Clemson, Wake Forest, and UVA.

Enter a freshman named QB Jameis Winston who redshirts his first year and goes on to have one of the greatest seasons of all time, leading his team to a National Title and winning the Heisman trophy.

2013 Miami Hurricanes went 9-4 this season with losses to Florida State, Louisville, VT, and Duke.

Enter a freshman QB named Brad Kaaya...

Ha. I wish man. But it's not happening. We're 3 years away of competent DL recruiting from having a shot of even winning 10 games.

I see what you did there...but that's where the similarities will end. No fault to Kaaya, who I think will beat out Olsen for the job. We aren't nearly as close as they were.

I agree there was obviously more that went into FSU's success. Just pointing out what a special QB can do.

they were at least 2 years ahead of us. 2014 finally gets us a full roster.

I think a special QB can finally get our offense playing well against great teams. The talent is there otherwise. In the last two years, we've had one decent offensive showing against a great D--VT this year. Otherwise we've gotten punked every time. Great QB's are at least capable of changing that to an extent (our other guys on O just don't execute well enough for us to be consistently good against top tier teams).

plus, we havent had talent like coley, duke, yearby, etc in a long time. Also on def. are burns, carter, bush, tracy, aqm, mccord, grace, etc. there is a lot of talent. Hopefully, we get as many of these dlinemen in as possible.

If the offense can sustain drives for more than 40 secs a pop it will make the defense look better just because it will not be on the field to **** up. I have faith, ( in Olsen)

I agree on the drives. Also, I think either olsen or kaaya will step up but i am sick to my stomach watching how kaaya can make smarter decisions in a all star game for high schoolers than morris could make against FAU. unreal. Morris hurt this team so bad.

I guess Pete doesn't hide is expectations he has on Kaaya.

Actually if he wasn't expecting Kaaya to win a title I would be ****ed.

Canes will be fine. Just gotta get the talent in here, play aggressive, and win.

FSU also invested money, lots of it, on their program. They completely changed their strength program, brought in a full time nutritionist, and use a sliding scale that allowed them to take would be Canes.

Kids who can't get in here, but can get into FSU/LSU/AU/LOU will naturally view Miami as an elitist school. Pete, you yourself said that's how we are often viewed. FSU started organizing its boosters and they played SEC ball in the recruiting game. They were pulling top 3 classes despite **** records and were beating Bama and UT and USC for elite national recruits.

You aren't winning a title running a straight laced program I'm sorry but this admin and the coaches they hire will never let us do things the way they need to be done.
