Two Deerfield High players committed to Oregon and VT respectively

Eaford has had some real tough times in his young life. Read an interview he gave and basically, he is moving on and starting a new life. Thankfully he seems to have had some good people step in and look out for him lately. Wish the kid well and hope it works out for him.
There are no good people on Deerfield’s staph, they are all cancerous.

Yes, pretty sure it was something along the lines of I wouldn't go to Miami if they paid me. I think Golden was the coach still at the time, but agree, eff him.

It was on Juedy’s parascope at the first paradise camp. Was on a bus full of recruits.

Cristobal has hired Ryan Bartow from rivals to his staff. Dude legitimately recruiting off the list. Its essentially if Miami put Ivins on staff. But Bartow has been in the game for ages.

He can recruit like the best of em...Hes not that good of a coach. Name me the last subpar OL coach worth a sh*t as a Hc?

“Mario Cristobal only recruited good because of the Alabama logo on the shirt”, can’t believe how dumb people sounded for saying that...

Having a good recruiting class as a first year HC means nothing. Let’s see how well Mario recruits in year 2 after he loses 10-12 combined in two years.

If i would of knew he was this good at recruiting i would of been on board. I didnt think he was this good but i like coaches that recruit at an elite level

Uh he recruited a no body recruit by the name of Antonio Brown. Unfortunately, Brown and FIU didn’t workout and he withdrew from the university during the summer of 07. The Mario replaced him with another nobody recruit by the name of TY Hilton. The guy is a beast as a recruiter and gets unknown players that ball. It’s not always the 4&5 star recruits. It’s also the less heralded studs that they pull in.

Jimbo pulled in 5 stars every year only to see his record get worse. Saban brings in that less herald recruit every now and then and he competes.

Yet he and they, continue to make bad decisions.

Thats what Saban and Butch are masters at, knowing which kid is what before the kid even knows. Getting one guy like that a year is ok but getting multiple slept on guys that become super stars is hard.

Deerfield LB Ge'mon Eaford, which Miami flirted briefly with commits to Oregon and fellow Deerfield DL Brandon Dorlus to VT.

We were not actively recruiting either of these players, but it shows the depth of SF talent. Will clearly see Dorlus down the line vs VT.

I wasn't overly impressed with what I saw of Dorvus' HUDL highlights.
Didn't see anything that stood out, tbh.
But VT's DLine coach is pretty good, so who knows.

Mario went from Bama bags to Oregon/Nike bags. He should be able to pull some with those resources.
