Two best receivers in the nation in one county

I dont think guys are saying dont go after him. Or just ignore him. I think they are saying dont waste a whole lotta resources on him just to get shafted in the end.

If you are going to waste resources waste them on Jeudy who we MIGHT have a better shot at. Apparently he likes Richt alot.

lets ask ourselves "what would an elite program do if they had 2 5star WRs in their backyards?"....cause clearly everyone around here still acts like we aren't and can't be an elite program. The answer is: They would throw every resource at both and try to get BOTH!!! We have zero WR depth and our only proven WR, Coley, is a senior.

And i don't get the idea of preserving our resources locally. Grimes goes to STA and we should be camped out at STA yearly no mater who they got. They have produced more NFL talent than any high school ever!

I get your overall point but how did this theory work in our pursuit of the Bosa brothers? You can beg, scratch, claw, do whatever you want..if the decision is made, its made.

Kudos to the staff for not giving up, but they would be well served to spend some of those resources on a kid a little ways North of here who use to play at a school in Coconut Creek and has basically been begging for an offer and is stud in his own right AND I would take over Grimes any day of the week..(I have seen both live multiple times)....Not going to derail the thread by naming his name though.

Just ******* win and recruit tf our of these kids. They'll both be NSD guys because everybody will be dying for them so build up a sick resume and make them top priorities

the decision hasnt been made and Al Golden isn't our coach anymore

I would be shocked if Grimes is a NSD, "hat trick" kid, either way. STA kids don't normally do this stuff. Its part of the reputation they take pride in.

Jeudy will def probably go down to the wire unless Saban puts the pressure on him.

Grimes today to 247:

The new staff at Miami has also made an impression on Grimes, specially with his mother.

“She likes the new staff. They look at me as more of a son, I guess you could say. Coach (Ron) Dugans is a Godly man and one of the reasons she likes Miami so much. Time will tell with them.”

Grimes had orignially planned to make his decision over the summer. Now those plans may get moved back.

“I feel like I don't want to rush it and make the wrong decision and have to decommit. I’m not big on that. When the time comes it'll be a good decision and my only decision,” he said.

Hmm...good season puts us in contention??

you dont like grimes?

This is great news. Talk about a sudden change of events. This would be huge for this kid to go down to the wire. He was all but sealed to OSU.

We will end up with one of following big receivers in this class Grimes, J.Harris, Landers, Njoku.

"But wait there's more", bartow just posted this tidbit

No program in America is blessed with more Division 1 talent regardless of class than national powerhouse Fort Lauderdale, Fla./St. Thomas Aquinas. They have over two dozen prospects with offers.

They are stocked and deep at almost every spot on the roster.

At wideout, five-star receiver Trevon Grimes said Ohio State, the longtime leader, is still ahead. He said Florida is second with Florida State, who he just visited, making a big push and now third.

Grimes said his mom prefers Miami who he views as a darkhorse in this recruitment and wants to see how their season goes.

Grimes, who had originally planned to make a summer decision, now wants to wait until later in the process.

Here's something on Juedy: The nation’s No. 8 wide receiver Jerry Jeudy (Deerfield Beach, Fla.) said Miami, Alabama and Tennessee are recruiting him the hardest.

Jeudy, who listed Alabama as the favorite several times in the past, said all of his final 10 are even. Jeudy said he plans to visit several schools this summer including Miami, Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, Clemson and South Carolina.

Jeudy, an early enrollee, plans to take some official visits before making a late fall or winter decision.

***** you Tennessee
