It's a business decision at the end of the day. But the problem is not that he's not that good, the problem is that we don't have anybody better at the moment. this is a pretty big season for the trajectory of the Miami football program. if we go 5-7 again it will kill all momentum imo. we mist improve drastically this year and losing the starting QB is a bad deal unless you land a stud in the portal. and not many ace QBs out there

Had one more thought. Yes, some "little guys" like us might kick in a few hundred or a few thousand to a collective. But what about the Hugh Hathnococks of the world, who contribute millions? Normally, you put that much money into something that loses money, you would like to either get Net Operating Losses, or maybe a worthless stock deduction when you kill off the entity.

I'm going to need a tub of popcorn for when people start claiming "Collective losses" on their tax returns. You just know it's going to happen.

We went 5-7 because of tvd. His play was a liability not just gattis. I remember the throws he’s missed , how scared he plays. Doesn’t care enough to run for a first down. Back to back interceptions to middle Tennesse. What exactly are we missing if he leaves?

We saw how lost he looked last year in a similar system. Yeah, he'd have better pass protection at Bama but he was indecisive and inaccurate even when he had time last year. The only game where he looked like TVD from 2021 was UNC when they just let him sling it 50 times. Tommy Rees would the nail in the coffin for his NFL stock.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the spring game. If he leaves and we don't grab an emergency portal guy, we'll be lucky to go 3-9 with the quarterbacks we have on hand.

I was talking about Milroe, but TVD doesn’t really fit either.

I want TVD to stay and hope it all works out for him. But let's be real, not only has his play been bad (yes he was hurt and under Gattis) but he is not marketable at all. He has little personality and doesn't really stand out. Again, that is fine for football but he's not some big NIL name. Sucks this got out and I highly doubt he actually leaves at this point but who the **** knows in 2023.
