“[Denson is] just going to school right now. We’re going to evaluate how he does,” Fisher said. “He’s got to continue to do well, we want him to do well academically. If he does, he does. If he doesn’t, we’ll have to adjust.”

Pender missed all of the year because he was academically ineligible. He rejoined the team in January at the start of the new semester and traveled with FSU to Pasadena. He is participating in offseason conditioning drills.

“Pender is fast, working his tail off,” Fisher said. “He’s doing so well in school. He just had so many personal issues. Deaths in the family, issues early that set him back.

Am I the only one who chuckles every time Bimbo Fisher talks about school? I picture Pender somewhere in the athletic offices taking his learning disability classes, writing paragraph-long book reports on Dr. Seuss books.

Did the kid die? The last article says he did, but the comments section says that he didn't.

I dont understand how you can have a rape charge againist your star players and a attempted murder caused by your players and no NCAA allegations. wow smh

So what actually happened here? Did the guy get shot and die? Get shot with only minor injuries?

Either way...this story is oddly very secretive as would be expected in a town that covers up rape charges for star football players.

Finally, Jimbo's comments in the NFL.com article are hysterical given the very serious circumstances involved.

Ncaa is too busy looking through Miami's garbage cans to actually do real investigating and punishing on these dirty *** schools

Seriously. Two football players on what was the #1 team in the country at the time, are involved in a shooting and it doesnt come out until 3 months later? :ohlord:
