Travonte Valentine news ...

Seems like LeaderofMen is the only one that won from this sutuation. What a shame

didn't leaderofmen say he could qualify for stanford?

He didn't go to Stanford so you have no way knowing he's wrong.

After reading that comment I feel like I just fried an untold amount of brain cells... Did you not read the FACT that he was academically ineligible to enroll at lsu (a school with very few academic standards) meaning that he wouldn't have a prayer in **** to get into either UM or especially stanford as both schools academic standards are pretty **** high...

After reading that comment I had another stroke.

Why are people blaming Genron for this? Valentine had multiple issues in HS and was kicked off the team. The reason he transferred to that diploma mill is because he couldn't qualify at a majority of D-1 schools which is why the NCAA deemed him ineligible. There are still questions as to whether that was even a real high school. The kid is clearly just a **** up, he's been kicked off at least three different teams now dating back to HS. That ain't on anybody but him.

Unless I'm reading the article wrong it wasn't the NCAA that deemed him ineligible, but rather the SEC. You must have pretty illegible crayon scribbles on your application for that to happen. Still not on Genron though.

Valentine committed and de-committed to three different teams. He was clearly looking for a deal. No one should be surprised at his outcome.

I'm not joining sides but at the same time if you read the article. Valentine is doing all the bs to himself. If he'd buckle down in the classroom and took football serious he'd be at LSU still. Yet he still acting like a freshman in HS with all the ****ery. I'm not gonna blame genron for the events of a young adult who should know better. This is all.on valentine. I don't feel sorry for him. I went through the same ****.

If he wants it bad enough he'll tighten up and take football a lot more serious and handle business in the classroom and leave the goonery for the goonies.

AH ! It appears that you have a sarcasm allergy and one of its side-effects is that it renders you unable to recognize it. Never fear the American Medical Association ,the CDC and a few pharmaceutical companies are hard at work on a cure.

The sad truth is Florida (especially SOUTH FL) is one of the leaders nation-wide when it comes to class-room casualties in football recruits and college-level courses. Whether it was Dee Morely, Ricky Jean-Francois or some of the other names mentioned in this thread it is astounding that Fl HS football Assc. hasn't clamped down on allowing academically-struggling students to play football or going on these "circus-camps".

Based upon the way that your brain processed that post you must not have had many brain cells left to fry. I think you'd struggle to matriculate at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC.

You must be new and didn't catch the sarcasm.

Not going to lie, this is the one that ****ed me off because Valentine decommitted when ****** Golden was interviewing for the PSU job. He may have been a bust in Miami too but we will never know and at that time Valentine was extremely crucial for our recruiting class.

Chances are that kids who play games like that end up not being worth the hype or the trouble.

Lol - Valentine was never getting past admissions at Miami.

He probably would not have qualified. However, you cats letting genron off the hook are funny. Maybe if this leader of men was leading him to something other than MacDonalds and duffle bags he would realize that he also needs to go to class. Wasn't genron part of that school/mini mall? At some point the adults around these kids need to take responsibility for the "men" they are creating. It is too bad the kid can't get out of his own way. Good luck to the kid. No shortage of talent, just brains and work ethic. And genron can ***** himself!
