Travis Hunter

Jeanty played multiple power 5 teams with one being #1 ranked Oregon and they couldn't stop him.
Hmmm, depends if you define Oregon State and Washington State as power 5 teams. Personally, I don't. They played one P4 team all year.

He did play well against Oregon. Although, at that point in the season, FCS Idaho was only behind 17-14 to Oregon in the 4th quarter.

We'll see how he does after their bye in the playoff.

Hunter won due to the rarity of the 2 way player in today's day and age. Not fair, but it is what it is. I'm biased, but Ward had the numbers.

There's no doubt in my mind that Travis Hunter is the best player in CFB. He dominated on both sides of the ball and played an obscene amount of snaps. He's a good kid too on and off the field. He spurned FSU, another positive for me personally. I don't really have anything negative to say about him. Dude is just a phenomenal athlete. He's twitchy af, with great balance, coordination, speed, and overall athleticism. He's got a high football IQ. What's not to like?

Ward and Jeanty could both make very strong claims for the award as well, but I can see justification for Hunter.

Does a Heisman winner deserve the award if he was afraid to play the best competition? He did it in his entire career. He avoided playing against the best even though he was rated, out of high school the best athlete. Is that OK?
3 posts in a row in a 9 minute span with no one replying to you...... All saying the same thing....
let it go GIF

There were 2 generational performances in CFB this year. Hunter playing both ways and Jeanty closing in on Barry Sanders rushing yards record. Without those, Cam would more than likely be the prohibitive favorite for the Heisman.
Had cam finished off gt and cuse the trophy was his.

Thanks bro.

Outside of the numbers, do you feel there is a big drop off as CB prospect. As a Jags fan I’m in full preparing for the draft mode, and after the pointless win over the Titans it’s looking less likely that we’ll get a crack at Hunter.
Not at all.

He's one of the top 5 best CB's in the country & also one of the best WR's.

He won't be on the board past the 5th pick, no question about it.

I'm curious what he runs at combine. Did he run track in high school?

Sorry, I meant do you think there is a big drop off between Hunter as a CB prospect and Will Johnson?

Don't ever remember him testing anywhere but it doesn't matter what he runs. I'd be somewhat surprised if he even does run, but more kids are than before, at least that's how it seems. So who knows? But you just put on the tape, you don't need to see him in shorts. He's a top 5 pick no matter what he does at any workout.

If he is willing to risk injury for a bowl game he certainly isn't the type to sit out combine. That would be a red flag for me.

I assume you mean Hunter is the better CB prospect, which I assumed would be the case. Do you think there is a big drop off from Hunter as the #1 CB down to Will Johnson who I assume is the #2 CB?
It's immeasurable.

They're both good, one is just better as an all around Cover Corner than other.

WJ struggled in Man coverage & is more of a Zone Corner, while TH can do both.
