Nice work by the recruiting coordinator staying on this kid....a lot of work stalking playgrounds for years.

Also key has to be all that money spent on facilities to close the deal when junior high kids come on their official visits.

This isn't even close to new. **** we had kids being transferred around in 1994 on 95lb optimist football. Legit not making that up. Kids going 20 min from home to play at a park they were recruited to before they were even in puberty. Amazing how little folks understand about how pernicious this stuff is.
 
How much is Columbus offering kids these days? Looks like they've really upped their recruiting budget.

No one is getting a duffel bag to play at Columbus. At most they're getting is financial aid to go. From what I remember, Jakari Gore's tuition was paid for by his uncle. CCHS also has some of the best coaches and facilities in Dade county to boot.

This. They've turned a bunch of kids down over the years that have wanted to transfer in as well.

Lamarcus Joyner tried to transfer from Southwest to Columbus and they denied him after he met with the Principal and they saw his grades/criminal record.
