Those were our best teams..with prop joe anchoring.

If my memory serves me correctly, I think he won 10 state championships in a row with several more in a 20 year span. He would go to the middle schools and have "clinics" during PE. That's how he found his recruits to groom when they got to HS. He jumped all over me in 7th grade @ Appollo. Hounded me all 4 years in HS. He was a science teacher as well and would have all his wrestlers in his classes. All 4 years, he changed my schedule so that I was in his one of his classes.

If it was 02..**** no. We beat Reef by 30+ and set a record with i think 3 rbs going for over 100yds...thanks to Prop Joe. lmao Our starting rb had 300yd i still think its in the top 10-20 of rushing games in broward, and our 2 sophomores had 100 plus.

I remember Reef had a rb he was ok in that game...had on funny/pretty socks...i think they also had 1 or 2 div 1 guys on defense ..maybe but was terrible. lol

Had a relative on the Hallandale teams round that time. Shon Brownlee. Was a good running back just undersized.

Then it def 02. Guess I suppressed that score for my own sanity. Lol. I actually played o-line that year. Only game I’ve ever got hurt in. Small world bro.

Of course. I guess I'm asking what's the furthest a local has transferred. Like where the kid is still living in the same place, not moving from another state. But they're still going to a school lightyears away. Like a Palm Beach kid playing for a school in Dade or something.

Probably sta getting Joyner...or recently they had a kid transfer from Gulliver so im thinking thats southern dade...traveling to mid broward.

When they transfer, are they bussed in? Have to find their own transport? Have dorms so they can live on campus?

STA has a bus they send for kids from wherever. If not they pair them up with a teammates family. Similar to how you see Chatfield was living with Surtain even though they are friends anyway but makes sense.
 
Thanks @gogeta4! Sorry if I seem ignorant about how all this works but I've been out of the 305 since 1983 and a lot of this is completely new to me. I could research some of it but would much rather get knowledge from you local guys.
