Transfer Season 2018

St thomas dropping bags out here...

Got a whole bunch of transfers already..the kid posted above coming from Mater likely will be 2nd string or something lol.

They got Ingraham from Dillard. a kid we likely offer or offered already
Braylen Ingraham - Hudl

Marcus Lafrance from Ely. Just picked up about 6 offers in the last few days. A 6'3 corner.

Xavier Restropo A wr 2020. Who already has a bunch of offers
Xavier Restrepo - Hudl

Another 2020 wr from my alma mater in Mcarthur. A 6'3 185 pd wr. Jahvante Royal

Also got the best offensive player from Archbishop Mccarthy.

Their hc cant coafch but he will recruit like no other. Im sure they got more but thats just the recent ones ive seen

I’m tired of them taking kids from Dillard

Dillard don't have it worse than Western.

*Brandon Linder
*Jake Ruddock
*James White
*Giovanni Bernard
*Tevin Allen
*Elijah Moore
*Wade Freebeck

And just got their D1 Offensive Tackle on Monday.

Dillard definately has it worse than Western. Simply because Western aread doesnt produce as much Taalent. Dillard is smack dab in the most talent in the county.

Bernard isnt a western kid..**** his brother played for delray atlantic or boca...hes a boca kid

You can take kids from Dillard and they'll still have talent. You take kids from Western and it completely changes their season. What do you think their record would've been this season if they still had Elijah Moore and Kevin Austin?

And Bernard was living in Davie at the time. He was slated to go to WHS.

Those kids I listed are just the ones that went to STA. There's also Buckshot Calvert, Kevin Austin, Brandon Doughty, Adrienne Talan, Juwon Dowels, Tyler Carmona, etc. I can go on for days.

Add those two players to this year’s team and they go to the state championship smh

the transfers have already begun in sofla

noticed last week STA has already begun to load up for next year, they landed in the last few weeks:

'19 CB Marcus Lafrance from Boyd Anderson
'21 ATH Taz Wisdom from Miramar
'20 ATH Xavier Restrepo from Monarch
'19 DE Braylen Ingraham from Dillard
'19 ATH Rayne Tanega-Doster from Mater Academy

'19 WR Damian Sutton transferred from Everglades to Heritage

Archbishop McCarthy QB Jesse Rivera and leading tackler Gino Sandora transferred to Western

'20 WR Aydin Henningham from PB Atlantic to Deerfield

Of course Dunmore is back at Chaminade

Wonder if the coach stepping down at Champagnat will open the flood gates

any more transfers go down yet?

You have a couple of new ones on there, but transfer season started way back in November lol.

This was bound to happen once the legislatures passed and Governor signed that bill allowing the transfer gates to open up almost 2 years ago. Once people got scent of how to "use" the transfer system it is escalating. Politics aside the Republican Governor and legislature signed this bill to assist people to get into charter schools. It has now become a vehicle for sports athletes to move about. One thing for sure it will never go back. It will be interesting to see how it goes in the future.

ST A ain't giving up that QB spot to black kids I see. Can't believe that they continue to bring in those slow footed big 10 qbs.

These private school coaches offer the world to these transfer kids and then often leave them high and dry. There's tons of kids who were starters at their home schools only to transfer to STA or Heritage just to sit the bench. Yeah, they might not be as good as the kid starting but if you've got no game tape, you're not getting any type of scholarship offer. If you try to transfer back to your neighborhood school, you get handed thr bill for your private school tuition.

Western's been getting more transfers lately. Filled that QB position with the graduation of Harrison Story. The Rivera kid just picked up an offer from Pitt.

Derek Wingo was the starting QB for a while this past season and he's black. Roger will play the player he thinks is the best regardless of the player's race, religion or nationality.

That coach was always able to get some talented kids in when he was at NE, guys like Amod Ned etc

Now I won’t go into how badly he overhyped his players there

*cough* Bo Williams *cough*

yea, this isn't true. look at the NSD list for STA every year. The full one, not just the FBS list. They send 20+ kids to college on full scholarships every year. You see guys who only played in blowouts signing with FCS/DII/DIII schools or whatever just because STA has the clout to call a coach up and say this kid is a good fit for your program.

Except it happens all the time. There's plenty of kids who are buried on the depth chart at STA and Heritage who would have actually played at their home school. I don't care what kind of sympathy offer you think Harriot or Surtain is going to get for these kids, there's no substitute for actual playing time when it comes to schools offering scholarships. I'm not talking about the big names who get invited to camps and have other opportunities to show their skills. I'm talking about the lower level FBS or FCS kids. It's a matter of showing your skill on the field to scouts or hoping your head coach can get you a scholarship despite you not seeing the field much all season. Ask anyone who coaches or works in an athletic department in Broward.
