"So much for being a "project". Rousseau sounds ready."

I'm not a trench expert but seems like Sewell did a decent job pass protecting but R50 would have beat about anyone on that play.
The OL/DLs are not my thing and would love to read @gogeta4's take on this, but Rousseau has a pterodactyl-like wingspan (think it's close to 7 feet) and absurd arm length (think it was 35"). That **** kinda helps in leverage. Ha.

When I watched him before his Frosh year here, I used to say he looked like an Anaconda around the corner. Don't know how he projects 5 years from now in terms of weight and specific position, but his freakish arm length will always be valuable in the L.

The stuff about "clean-up" sacks was my favorite.

If a guy is getting clean-up sacks every game, his length, quickness and instincts may have something to do with it.

My whole thing, D, was the absurd hate he got on this board. It literally made zero sense, and this was all b/c he sat out to protect himself & his family? Smh.

Like I said, this dude has Go-Go Gadget reach. He keeps OL from getting into his body b/c of it. There’s just somethings u can’t teach, and GR possess a lot of it. If my guy has 100+ “clean up sacks” for his career, so be it. Lol

Who didn’t know this tho. While his movement is stiff as a board in drills that don’t matter when it’s game time that kid is a monster.

never will we forget his one season of domination. I’ll always be mad we didn’t get to see him and Phillips run together. Our Dline would’ve did damage.

I would take it one further, I still get mad we will never get to see Phillips and Roche at end with Rousseau at tackle in the Nascar package. No exaggerating, that had the potential to be the best pass rushing line in CFB history

“Effort” and “cleanup” sacks gonna end up defensive rookie of the year.
If there's a way to wish him well while not helping the Bills too much, count me in on that. I want to see him do great things, but fall just short of terrorizing my Dolphins for the next 10 years.

While he'll never be a guy who's going to burst around the corner and beat a tackle with speed he'll get plenty of sacks using his length, effort and instincts.

I still have no idea where the concept of “project” came from

Because he’s young? “Skinny”? Didn’t play last year?

It took about 2 snaps for everyone to realize dude was an absolute man child that was not some raw project

The posters who bad-mouthed Rousseau all the way up to the draft will have short memories and say it wasn't them and they believed in him the whole time but I hope those threads are dug up one day. Lol.
