So Bateman just told me that he will be visiting officially. He has not sorted out the weekend yet, but seems like his interest is serious.

He said Miami coaches have told him that he is very high on their board and he appears to be a take. Trying to interview him later

I've posted for months that Miami did not really like Telfort as a prospect. This is not something new.

Same. Kid is clearly intrinsically motivated as evidenced by his weight loss and continued and rapid skill development. Love those kinds of players. Can't teach 6'7" either...

EDIT: I still don't understand how we seemingly backed off LA OT Adrian Ealy. It was basically us and Oklahoma and then we slowed communication. **** of a player imo, not someone I would pass on that is very attainable.

Bateman's from Alabama but doesn't have offers from Bama OR Auburn, just like former Golden additions Michael Jackson & Malik Rosier. Camped at UF and FSU, but didn't receive an offer from either school.

This time last year I would have wanted to pass on Telfort but **** he may be the most improved player in south Florida this year. Tough to comprehend what they're seeing here
