1st- thing I notice 4-3 alignment(ala)
2nd -is how the OLB reroute the TE with a jam (ala)
3rd-OLB Dixon athletic ability(ala)
4th-(ala) CB lack of technique
5th -Size the avg. size of ALa LB's are 255lbs compare to Miami 226lbs
6th-( GA) lb avg lbs is 246lbs
7th- (GA) Def. doesn't jam the WR much
8th- (Ga) Def-line in not moving backward at all Jenkins
9th- (Ga) OLB Olegtree is a monster fulling the Gap on goaline stand...
10th A lots of big hits from (Ga)with strong secondary play

I don't understand why everyone wants huge linebackers. As long as the D-line does its job, I prefer faster linebackers that can play sideline to sideline over the downhill linebackers of Alabama.

1st- Miami runs a base 4-3
2nd- Miami's OLB is a Sophomore, RS Freshman, or True Freshman and the jams will come
3rd- Eddie Johnson is athletic as they come
4th- Miami CB's have had no time to develop except for McGhee and most of us thought he was a bust until he got coached up.
5th- Miami's LB's have always been a little lighter much faster and just as aggressive. Our LB's will be fine around 235+.
6th- See 5th
7th- Miami will jam WR's once they develop and have the physicality to play man.
8th- Miami's D-line was mostly True Sophomores or younger. Let them hit the weights and eat some sandmiches and they won't move backward either.

I have noticed that the red used in the Alabama uni is a different red than that used in the Georgia uni.

lol

Hey Guys
I'm just giving you my assessment of ALA vs GA defenses vs Mia.defense

Ala & GA has a Championship defense do you agree?YES

So either comment on game or keep it moving...

Great point Miami do run a 4-3 defense with a rover (on passing downs)
but even in a 4-3 226lbs LB's is pretty light..

7th and 8th excellent point.
As a Canes fan we have a lot to look forward to..

What has always set the SEC apart from other conferences has been the front 7 of their defenses: large, agile, immovable D-linemen and angry, aggressive LB's that fill gaps and blow up O-linemen and ball carriers. I can see our LB's getting better. I am anxious to see what we will look like once our D-linemen start looking and playing like men instead of pups.

Comparing these two defenses, loaded with upperclassmen, against Miami, which at one time would start a sophomore, and possibly two freshmen on the DL, a sophomore, RS-Frosh, and a true Frosh, and three true freshmen and a senior at DB makes no sense. Miami's defense sucked. They might still suck next year or the next, but right now, having to depend on that many freshmen is ridiculous. Think about it. They were playing McCord, who weighs 215lbs, at DE. Alabama's LB's have him by 40lbs. They need some time to grow up. This is going to be a different team next year.

Love me some power football. Could our Oline do this with the right coaching?
