Funny how people change their opinion when its the kid who wants to be here but mom says no.

I guess we forgot about Collins whose mom wanted him here but he went to Arky!

The nice part is there is still 2 months until signing day. If they kid really wants to be here he will convince his mom that as well.

Most the time, you are correct. This is one of those rare instances where, if Pete and others are to believed, we legit got ****ed over by the family. They knew the staff was coming up today and essentially let them travel there and blow them off after months of recruitment. It's a classless move and deserves to be called out, IMO. Being a top recruit doesn't give you leave to act like an *******. But I'm old fashioned that way.

Not condoning what Halloman did. It was rude. That being said, coaches did travel there for other athletes as well. Just pointing out that if we are going to hold athletes accountable for their actions, fans should do the same with coaches. Unfortunately, that's rarely the case

You're a good poster, dude. I agree with you that coaches slow play kids, like Brini and Dingle, and it's not good form. I put that on par with recruits stringing schools along. This is just an extra step lower than we are used to. I mean seriously, who does this?

I have 0 respect for this family, like 0. If a kid wants to go to another school, fine, but to completely allow a coach who could use his time, dime, and efforts to go elsewhere to hop up in your city and then cancel on him, throwing his plans off course....that's bush league at its finest.

Sounds like an excuse to me. Mom is taking the blame for her son. It's an easy way for him to back out.
 
The thing that has always struck me as weird is that we typically have 20-25 scholarship players who literally contribute nothing over four years. So if the deal to land an elite prospect involves giving a scholarship to a terrible sibling, then why not do that since you are going to have dead weight on the team anyways? Set aside three scholarships for "useless brother" and go to work. It's like a having a completely legal bagman.

If he chose so be it that's he can pick whatever school he wants. Out of respect though he should have took the in home visit to hear Richt out and tell him hey coach I've decided to go a different route. Shake his hand a thank him. You owe him that much

I imagine that bridge has been burnt. Wasting the staff's valuable time and cancelling on the day of an OV - that offer has got to be off the table and given to someone who isn't playing games.
