Tim Williams just tweeted-position change

Williams said on Saturday after AQM committed that he would most likely be moving to a LB role. Here is the quote, "For all this is just going to help the program, with him he probably be more the true defensive end, and I’ll be the hybrid." Sounds like a guy who plans on coming here and knew that he was in between positions.

Sorry, we have been diluted over the last few seasons. I cannot get on board with Gaines being solid or anything close to Miami quality.

Bingo. I could never see him being in the middle of our better defenses. He would be a great guy to have a towel waving above his head on third down and come in whenever the middle backer needed a break. But People wonder why we suck on defense then defend all our avg. players when you say they arent miami material. Plus he has wayy too much sunshine in his life. Good role player, never the centerpiece of a true miami defense, only if you like defenses ranked in 100s

I guess Vilma had way too much sunshine in his life because he smiled alot here and was 3.5 gpa guy and took academics seriously.. You guys kill me with the sunshine bs lol

you're greatly exaggerating the amount of ***** vilma gave about human life

He got it from here. Last line.

You guys ready for the paranoid post?..... here it comes..... LSU is done recruiting DE's as they have already 5 committed for this class..... or you could go down the.... FSU loves there OLB to pass rush more than they drop into coverage..... Wonder which of the two is the first one someone picks up and runs with.

But Iocaine powder is from Australia, a land populated entirely by criminals, and criminals never trust anyone, so I can clearly not drink the wine in front of you.

Wow. Sounds like a Cane there, thanks.

Just has to make that visit.

The more LB's we add, means the better chance of getting Armbrister, Cornelius, and Gaines off the field. Want.

Gaines I can live with because hes a hard worker and performed alright but hes def not starting material and Armbrister and Cornelius should never see the field.

Exactly dude from BC the tackling machine always smile.

Some of these people wanted to trash B.McGee

Williams's quote fits his quote from the other day about being a hybrid player here.

P.S. Count me in as one of the guys who likes Gaines. He was forced to play before he was physically ready due to prior shoddy recruiting. As a result, you saw a skinny 205 pound baby out there trying to mix it up with men, and he got pushed around.

Guys get too enamored with hype and the new guy automatically being better than the guy who is already here. The new guy is usually going to be a little light and weak and lost at times, and then a lot of folks will give up on him and look for another recruit who is better. Give them some time, gents. Let Alshermond build a roster and have some upperclassmen in a bunch of starting spots.

I like Thurston The Millionaire too. He's a hard worker who is getting stronger and smarter by the day. He'll be a good player for us. Let him fill out and continue to gain experience.

Trash Brandon McGee? You mean like how the coaches called him out repeatedly during the off season for not playing up to his potential?

I am a big fan of a player who will work his **** off, Gaines and Armbrister are those types of guys. They might not be all world-all-offers STUDS but they work hard and they are team first guys.

Vilma is the Stringer Bell of Miami football. That guy put bounties on the head of some of the greatest QBs of all-time to take them out by any means necessary with no remorse. That dude is ruthless.

Vilma is a UTHUG All-American...and if he ain't...he'll make sure he gets it by any means necessary.

We finished 117th in total defense. Nobody is safe, especially not kids like Gaines that were getting blasted all over the field. **** that.

lol makes u wonder if these mofos watch the games, its more the players right now than the coaches.

I think Gaines starts in the middle but Kirby passes him up and Kirby becomes the primary back up. Could also see Kirby beating him out straight up. Gaines offers a lot athletically and makes solid plays, but has had too many busts in the past. Definitely not trash though and will likely see the filed a ton next year, and I could see him playing fairly well. He's a plus athlete, needs to start using that in pass coverage.

WOW. Said a whole lot there

Gaines has the hips of a 60 year old woman in coverage, really doesn't look fluid dropping back there at all. That being said, he did make a few nice plays in coverage towards the end of the season. He's a liability in coverage and I would much prefer to see what Kirby can do out there, but if Gaines continues to improve this offseason maybe he can earn himself some playing time. The defense becomes to predictable and easy to beat when you have such one dimensional guys out there, he's downhill or nothing, and thats not good. We need flexibility. Guys like Gaines are the reason I never jumped on Coach D, its hard to execute your defense when you have to start guys like Kelvin Cain and Jimmy Gaines.

Jimmy Gaines will not see the field next year IMO, Denzel Perryman will start at middle LB, EJ (if he's still here) will start at OLB and Devante Bond or Alex Figueroa at the other OLB
