I saw that one too. Right up there with the Penn State fans a week before the Sandusky news broke who raved about their student-athletes doing it the right way.

At least the PSU fans could claim not knowing if it was before the news broke. Saban, on the other hand, was well known as a cheater and they had recruits posting photos of multiple hundred dollar bills and cars during visits with zero investigation. Saying they didn’t take a penny is just plain head in the sand or an outright lie.

I've tried to tell people for years, that some of if not the worst fans I ever encountered were the Bama fans in New Orleans at the Sugar Bowl back in the day.

I always just chalked it up to Saban being a means to an end. These kids were just looking at their bottom line draft stock. They never consider all the other things that go along with it. Remember when Georgia fans were yelling all kinds of racist stuff at their own player, Justin Fields I think.
