I recently read that Kirkland is interested in USF and Ole Miss. Has this always been the case or is this a recent thing?

Makes me kind of nervous b/c those schools scream academics. Thank God WVU wasn't listed.

He's always been interested in USF as a secondary school I'm pretty sure

I hadn't heard anything about Ole Miss, though.

I wouldn't worry about his grades too much, I'm pretty sure he has already qualified in terms of GPA/ACT

A little late to the party here, and I know this post would have been a little more appropriate on pages 1-3, but holy ****, I cannot believe this place is free. How you going to give up the most reporting, with the best info, and the best reporters, for free?

This place is too good to be true thanks to Pete and others and it seriously makes me worry that something bad will happen to it. Paysites gonna come gunning for you or something, if you are the best and ain't even charging membership fees. Maybe I'm just pessimistic.

This place should really watch its *** with copyright infringement ****, I suppose. Even posting full articles online, from say, the Chicago Sun-Times, where the articles are posted online for free on their website anyways, is grounds for shutting down a website. I'm not here to attempt to get any rules to be enforced or **** people's **** up in any way, I'm just almost positive that when the paysites learn how much money they have been losing from the likes of Pete, Tito, and Cam, that this is the first avenue they will pursue.

being in the web business I learned this. Those pay sites HAVE to come up with "news worthy" articles every day in order to keep subscribers. SO.. they start to say the same thing different way and blowup things that should not be.

Subscription based news is the a horrible model. News/info should be free and advertisers should pay. Unless your insight info is time critical and it can by me knowing something 1 min faster than my competitor then its worth it.. Otherwise its a waste of money.

If something comes up, within about 5 minutes its all over twitter/facebook.

People can copy and paste whatever articles they want to quote on this board. As long as we are "referencing" the articles instead of saying here is my opinion its all good.

again. Pay sites = same info with a dress on to make it look better for you so you can pay for it.

Pete and all the real insight guys, well they are developing a following right now. and THAT you can't buy. I trust what Pete sais about The Canes, hence the reason I signed up to this board and the ads below get an extra click/visibility and the site makes money.

Soon a board like this can be bought out by a larger publication thinking they can charge visitors per month....

Your intuition jives with mine here. When a S. FL star starts looking at Old P1ss, it's almost always a signal that he's worried about qualifying at a real school.

Normally I would agree, but Ole Miss is putting together a pretty strong class and seems to be drawing attention from more high profile guys than normal this year.

I know this chick that goes to Ole Miss. We asked her this question once and she was stumped. If you're in a car going 60mph, how long does it take to go 60 miles?

I noticed that too. But I don't think any of their commits are S. FL stars. Through the years, we've seen borderline academic guys from S. FL show interest in Old P1ss. It's not as strong as the Marshall prima facie case for non-qualifying, but it's a signal nonetheless.

Re: Ole Miss, Wes McGriff is there now and has already made an impact. One of Shannon's biggest mistakes was naming Hurtt as Recruiting Coordinator instead of a well-traveled veteran like the Crime Dog.

All this proves is that you're friends with a stupid chick. What point were you trying to make?
