Thomas says he is visiting starting tomorrow

The people close to him & his family say he's a Cane. Unfortunately he's getting a lot of noise from people like Freeman. I think once Tracy, Duke & Malcolm latch onto him it evens the playing field a little bit. If by chance we do hire Coley, FSU can go stick a carrot up their *** cause its over.

He is like neither, although he may be very good. Peterson was going to make a run at being the best CB in college football, and that was obvious from high school. Duke was going to be a brilliant talent, perhaps without a true every down position, and an instrumental recruiter in a critical time.

I would love us to get Thomas, but his impact would be different from those you mention if he comes.

#1 Peterson was going to make a run at being the best CB in College football the same way I believe Matthew Thomas will one day (soon) make a run at being the best LB in college football. Based on what I've seen live and on the internet, Thomas the #1 talent in the state of Florida this year.

#2 Duke was going to be a brilliant talent without an every down position? Duke Johnson? What? He's an every down running back. He's 5' 9" 190 as a true freshman, but he was the best short yardage back we had on the team as a freshman and a natural inside runner despite his size. He'll likely leave Miami at 5' 9" and approaching 210, which will be bigger than Clinton Portis.

Will Matthew Thomas' career trajectory be different than the two above? Meaning, will he step in as a True Frosh and light the world on fire in the same way? Well, maybe not. He's only 210 or so pounds right now and he'll play a position that requires body development (strength) moreso than "skill" positions like RB or CB. That doesn't really make him very different to the two above because:

(a) He can actually be drafted just as high as PP
(b) Be a complete gamechanger on defense, as a guy who can drop in coverage OR rush the passer
(c) He's just an athletic freak who happens to be a natural football player.

I don't know if Thomas will come here and I don't have the greatest feeling about it, but it doesn't make him any less of a prospect. He's the best prospect in Florida. The reasons guys like Olsen (because we need a QB after Morris) and Collins (because we need to keep Duke Johnson alive and Collins is very talented) are more important than Thomas has more to do with technicalities rather than sheer talent, which was the question posed.
 
Lol at everyone freaking out over what the nole writers say...every nole thinks they're getting everyone. honestly best situation for us was him visiting alone during duke Miami. He gets all the love and he's here for a huge national spotlight game which fsu does not have during his visit there. It'll be over soon enough regardless so just hold out another 2 weeks. Well know where he ends up soon enough no point in speculating

He's coming here... I think Barrows connection with Ice keeps him here... Barrow is well-respected within the community and he has the trust of the high school coaches.

Either he knows for sure that he's coming here or he is just trying to placate his friends and family that want him at the U. A mid week visit before heading to Tally is not a great sign, but who the **** knows.

This kid is all nole. It's a **** shame too. Another example of a kid trying to rep the hometown every chance he gets but then turns his back on the local team. If he throws up that 305 hand sign, Feliciano should blind side him after the whistle.

You can see 6's face light up talking about Miami in the second video and he kind of stammers when asked about Bama & FSU. It's kinda the same way Tracy Howard talked in his interviews last year when he would always crack the smile when talking about Miami. I may be reaching, but based on the body language I think this kid will be a CANE come signing day in my honest opinion.
