Klein surprised us last year.
We actually made him look better this year.

I'm going with all of the above.
Certainly possible, but I just don't buy that Golden and D'Onofrio are idiots when it comes to defense; I mention Golden because they're in lockstep philosophically.
They had good defenses at Temple once they were able to get things straightened out.
What makes you say KSU is a top 10 team? Because they blew out a ****ty Miami team?
I think KSU would beat any of these teams
11 Michigan State
12 Clemson
13 Wisconsin
14 Ohio State
15 Virginia Tech
Chick has been super disappointing this year. Instead of building on last year has seemed to regress.
Worst game I've seen as a cane fan.
The biggest disappointment to me was the lack of aggression on D, we are so ****** passive I can't stand to watch it. We have 2 guys on D who seem to play with some fire DP and EJ, the rest play like a bunch of scared girls

Onofrio's defensive scheme is terrible, TERRIBLE. No amount of talent can overcome his passive style of allowing the offense to dictate the pace of the game.
You realize he's coordinated good defenses before, right?

They may not be idiots, but they're approaching the problem incorrectly. They've apparently assessed a lack of talent, and their solution is to extend games. That may work against lesser teams and will get us 5, maybe 6 wins. But, it won't prepare us for the future and it's a dangerous foundation for our youth. Additionally, I'm gonna shoot you straight here: I have zero evidence that D'Onofrio is capable of creativity or strategic advantages. At least on the other side, I've seen Fisch design some great stuff. His issue is lack of focus.
