* We need to be less Kaaya-centric, not more
* Losing Dorsett is a big blow. This year we relied on cheap points so often. No guarantee that will be there without Dorsett, who is so smooth and fast. I really hope he finds a perfect NFL home, like TY Hilton did with Luck
* Last night we used Stacy Coley on more short routes in traffic than typical. It looked like we were giving him an early look at what will be expected and demanded of him next season.
* In general I don't care about insider information. I think I can do just as well with big picture common sense. Al Golden had too much benefit of a doubt to be in jeopardy this season. If he leaves this year it will be on his own accord. But now the benefit of doubt is gone. He can't afford another similar season, unless the new president somehow embraces and protects. Embattled head coaches are forced to resort to coordinator changes, even if they resist. By all accounts, Joe Philbin balked at firing his friend Mike Sherman with the Dolphins after last season. That switch paid off, since the Dolphins fluked into their 4th or 5th choice in young Bill Lazor, who has really widened the field with multiple defenders going the wrong way time and again. It's doubtful we can get that lucky with a new defensive coordinator. Besides, if Golden himself prefers the current passive scheme, what difference does it make? Same mediocre defensive linemen with a new coordinator doesn't alter the logical bottom line.
