****, I can't believe how long some of these guys have been here already. McCord is a Senior? Jenkins a RS junior?

It's a shame that some of them haven't had better careers. I feel like they never blossomed.

Berrios's ball was a very tough catch. That ball came over the defender's back shoulder which causes a big blind spot and he had to worry where the out of bounds are. That play is very hard to simulate with a player all draped over his vision pathway. You can really tell who the arm chair experts and the former players are. On tv you get a good view of the ball but in games that is not always true
 
I feel Herb Waters is being over looked... throughout his time here I feel he has made some great plays and some very difficult catches... he has worked hard but he is very underrated. He will have a big year and surprise a lot of people!

I was thinking the same thing when they said Kirby was a senior already!! It feels like he should be a sophomore.

I suspect we live and die with Kaaya. Kid is head and shoulders above anyone we have seen at QB to long to remember. He is about the only reason to have hope this year. If he had better defensive system and coaching, kid could lead us to NC.

Have you forgotten about Malik Rosier? We also have Sherifs and Testaverde, although Testaverde might have to sit out a year and I'm sure the coaches want to redshirt Sherifs if they can.

so in other words, we are screwed if Kaaya gets dinged. with the way our OL looks on paper, that is scary to think about.

Berrios gotta learn how to catch. Straight up. This guy dropped a lot of perfect balls last year. Just saying. Yeah he can get open, but I don't get the hype and excitement around this dude. He has to catch the ball to be a player. In all reality at a real program with real depth, he would have never seen the field as a true freshman last year. I hope he has developed. I don't get all the hype.

I am old with bad eyes so maybe I missed something. It seemed to me that he caught just about everything until that long end zone pass against noles? Not so sure after that cause I kind of stopped watching rest of the year after Al blew that first half beat down by our boys.

I get what Pete is saying but is there no clear answer as to what we will be running? We never ran an aggressive 43 under AG. So To me that says we will be "multiple" aka that Al Groh crap.

Al could be at the Pearly Gates and St Peter telling him his defense sucks so bad he can't come in and AL would NOT change a thing.
 
Great to see Coley gained weight. He's now as big as he was as a freshman when he played well. I think he had a bout of anorexia last year and that's why he struggled. Good to see his weight back up to his freshman level.

That's why I always say "If Berrios would have made the TOUGH catch". It was a perfect throw by Kaaya, but it still was a tough ball to catch.

* McCord said he’s on one end of UM’s “speed” package, a 4-3 setup the Canes employ on third down. Darrion Owens is working behind him. The opposite ends are Trent Harris and Al-Quadin Muhammad. Demetrius Jackson is a candidate as well. Ufomba Kamalu and Chad Thomas are working as the first-team tackles in that package, McCord said.

My post was directed at no one in particular. But towards 75% of the board who wrote him off for one very tough catch. Jimmy graham dropped 2 possible wideopen touchdowns in the same game for us and so did Dorsett (ND). All 4 times they were very open. They have now turned into players

1 gapping isn't the end all be all. It would be a welcomed change although bitter sweet as a lot of time and talent was wasted.

But one gapping doesn't solve the fact that these coaches can't adjust in game, can't coach and are generally clueless on game day.

Problem with a guy like McCord is that he was ideal for a RS. Instead, we needed him on the field and while good for us at the time, not great for his development. He's exactly the kind of player that should be redshirting.

Sounds like the NY Giants front in 3rd down situations they used in 2011. Here's hoping it has similar results.

MAAAAN I remember those jimmy drops. I realllly felt that was our year, and we were coming back strong that game until those drops, any momentum was GONE, rest is history
