I was pretty worried about this season. But now that I know that we're bending well.......well that changes everything.
I know it's early, but this is shaping up nicely.
One thing is for certain. These guys have really committed in the off season. From everything I've read and heard in interviews the whole team is in great condition, there is tremendous leadership, excellent chemistry, and talent at every position throughout the 2 deep.
You have long time observers Zagacki and Bailey Jr., saying this team is extremely talented, conditioned, and driven.
We have a franchise qb.
We have Chad Thomas saying this is going to be the best defense in the country.
We have 6 good, with the potential to be great receivers.
A stable of good/great rb's.
10 O lineman.
2 deep on the d line and linebacker.
Howard, Burns, Elder at CB with Bush, Jenkins, Crawford, Carter at safety.
The haters are going to hate no matter what happens, but at the end of the year, don't be surprised if this team shocks everyone with how good they are.
yeah, lets fuggin hope so......
The horrible thing about the vocal minority of haters is that say we go 10-2, win the coastal, then win the ACCCG, then lose The Orange Bowl in a close game and finish 11-3, the haters will still say we suck.
If we go undefeated, and lose the national championship game, the haters will still say the coaches are terrible, they can't develop talent, they suck ****.
I've been a die hard since Saban was the coach here, and the reason the great seasons are great is because I still remember how getting to The Peach Bowl was an incredible success. The great seasons are great because of the hardship, heartbreak and turmoil in the years before.
Remember Jimmy's first year here? Inherited a National Championship team and went something like 8-5. If the internet was around then, the vocal minority would have been lambasting him as a hick piece of shiit loser, especially after the Penn State Fiesta Bowl.
Mark my word, good times are on the near horizon.
This team has the talent to win 10 games period
In Optimist or Pop Warner?
future NFL players currently on the team
Artie Burns, Deon Bush, Joe Yearby, Stacy Coley, Tracy Howard, Jaquan Johnson, Mark Walton, Dobard, Grace, Carter, Waters, Gus Edwards, Berrios, AQM, Chad Thomas,
Malcolm Lewis, Wyche, Scott, Kaaya, Tyriq McCord, Chris Herndon, Corn Elder, Demetrius Jackson, Trent Harris, Kamalu, McDermott, Raphael Kirby, Darrion Owens, Danny Isidora, Sunny Odogwu, Nick Linder, Trevor Darling, Heurtelou, Moten.
I only included Walton and Jaquan Johnson from the true freshmen.
I'm not saying all these guys will get drafted, but I will say over half of them will get drafted, the rest will be UFA's.
That's a talented group of guys
We were arguably more talented last year and went 6-7. Our OL is a mess, with no depth. Our skill positions are as weak as I can remember. Why the optimism?
**When asked if there’s any chance Gerald Willis becomes eligible to play this season, Golden said, “I don’t think so. We are not counting on that. Just trying to get him indoctrinated and inclimated with what we want to do and how we want to do it.”
Al really means "We have to castrate him first"
Indoctrinate huh, fancy way of saying brain washed
Hearing that Linder and Isidora are "dominating" is a good thing. I think Gall has the ability to be solid at LG. Then, whoever wins the LT job will be at least solid, and the one who loses out on the LT job will be our RT.
Having BCU and FAU at the top of our schedule helps out for the OL, we will get to gel together and keep battling it out in those 2 should be easy games.

Golden likened the position to “Noah’s Ark”
Where is this talent that you guys speak of?
The defense looks pretty good but who are our studs on offense other than Brad? Coley is a flake, we don't know what we're gonna get out of him. Waters is a good player but I wouldn't consider him a certified stud. Berrios has shown a little. Scott hasn't played football in 5 years. The O-line has lost 5 NFL players within the past 2 seasons. We're bare as ****. All of them are question marks. Edwards and Yearby have shown flashes but neither has shown us that they can be a stud. The other RB's are question marks. None of the TE's have shown anything yet.
People that say we have all this talent on offense are going off pure speculation IMO. At least we have depth and experience on defense. There's guys on defense that we can definitely say are studs cause we've seen it.
I'm not optimistic about this offense at all. They've sucked the past 2 seasons and they've been loaded with NFL guys.
To me its all about health.. You ****gots wanna be real let's be real.....Kaaya did not have the arm to get the ball out to Dorsett like Morris did . WHy do you think he dropped off in production after having no drops last year? Dorsett with all of his talent was neutered last year...Rashawn Scott is a better type WR for Kaayaa. Scott will lead this team in receptions if he stay healthy... Theres no reason COley cant put up Dorsetts numbers last year....For all the beast DOrsett was he had no lateral quickness.. We threw screens to him that amounted to nothing...Waters, Berrios, and COley are better at the screen game. Yall acting like Dorsett was our offense... He was an after thought most games.... I see no rason why we shouldnt have a better passing game then last year..Kaaya in 2nd year.. Yearby is just as good as DUke in the passing game. Now the run game Im holding my breath on

In all fairness he sure did keep those safeties back. That opened up much of the underneath stuff that Kaaya had so much success with. It will be interesting to see if Corley can scheme around not having that sure fire deep threat and safeties that will be playing closer to the line of scrimmage.

Meh I think keeping safeties back is overrated especially with Kaaya last year..... IMO teams came out to stop Duke not stop Dorsett... Skai Moore's people(Chad WIlson) Said that South Carolinas defensive game plan was to stop Duke and stop Duke only they were not worried about Kaaya beating them over the top...

There are however tons of coaches that disagree with that philosophy.
